You guys act like they lost the 97 team. They lost 8 of 9 position players on a team that won 1 game at the College World Series. None of those 8 guys won more than a game in Omaha in their careers. They were put out in 2 blowouts to TCU. I'll get a bunch of down votes, but has the bar really fallen that low at LSU?

That's probably the worst way to quantify the people they lost. Baseball is a quantity-game. Reducing it to Omaha is silly.

LSU's team last year had a school record 5 players selected to the first team all-conference team--four of them were position players. LSU had one player named to the second team who also is on the all ell bad "hot take" list. LSU also had four players named to the all-defensive team. LSU had 3 position players named to an all-America team. All of those position players aren't on the team this year. Acting like they lost nothing is a ridiculous sentiment. LSU lost a historically good crop of players year-over-year.
