With you 100% dude. Fun fun fun games. A time when at the end of games the stadium was still full.

LSU v. VA Tech 2007. Big time hype for an opening game of what turned out to be an amazing year. Also, it was my first game of Freshman year in the Student Section.
It was a dominant game in which the fans seemed absolutely enraptured with every moment. From start to finish it was just spectacular.

Have a special place for 1986 against the Aggies.

Picked up the rivalry after over a decade lay off and gave them a pretty good butt kicking.

The stadium emptied with what seemed like the entire LSU faithful pouring salt into Aggie wounds by chanting 'LSU! LSU! LSU!'!

That hurdle is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Keiland Williams.

I wonder if there are any real old timers around here. I wonder if anyone on here was at the LSU vs OLE MISS Billy Cannon punt return. I bet that was cool.

I listened to it on the radio.

I wasn't old enough to remember hearing it on the radio but years later when I was 4 or 5 everybody was still talking about it.

I'm old, but still don't feel old, I remember all these except Cannon's run. Actually LSU wins over the Pigs snapping their 22 game win streak is the first LSU game I remember. I was a little kid pulling for LSU, but I didn't really care too much....that changed shortly thereafter.

The 79 usc game still pisses me off to this day. The better team lost that night. And usc knows it.

Grrrrrr. '79 USC.
On the 3rd and long play that Thibodeaux was flagged for a'facemask', the USC O-line had TWO false starts!

This resounding victory over Va. Tech was the catalyst that got LSU into the championship game, even with 2 losses. You remember that Virginia Tech, Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma, etc. all felt they should have been in that game, and John Feinstein went so far as to question why undefeated HAWAII was not chosen to face Ohio St. in New Orleans!

TROY-might have been the most fun game

Surely you cain't be serious about that. That game was pure torture for nearly 3 whole quarters. I've never witnessed a Tiger team that was so lifeless, and the bitter cold was just agonizing. Only a 30-0 surge in the final 30 minutes saved the Tigers from a most humiliating defeat. They punctuated this near embarrassment by playing poorly the next two weeks, vs. Ole Miss and a BAD Arkansas team.

Favorite Game:
Auburn 95'
LSU wins late 12-6. Jamie Howard gets some redemption after taking so much heat from the disaster Auburn game two years earlier. Howard was carried off the field. Then watching another buddy elude the cops all over the stadium was icing on the cake. Howard was and is still a good friend so I was very happy for him. Always felt bad for Howard 3 offense coordinators in 4 years. I always wondered how good he could have been under a different era like Saban or Miles. Those Hallman years were a nightmare!
