It's at 95 now. 52 week low - 92
Limit order set at $90?

I would just buy now, no need to get greedy.
Or buy 50% of how much you were going to buy right now and set a limit order at $90 for the other 50%

I'm gonna buy in if it gets to around 85. Got a feeling it could get as low as 80 in the near future.

My advice is worth absolutely nothing, strictly opinion....but I don't like apple at all. I think Google is about to steal a huge portion of their market share, especially with the elimination of subsidized phone pricing as the standard practice....
Again, I can't emphasize enough that I don't know shite.

Just saw on the news Icahn dumped his position. Could get bloody. Personally I'd wait for some dust to settle.

Agreed. I think the end of subsidies is bad for the handset makers.... Were people really that scared of cellphone contracts when it was the norm for every carrier and it allowed you to get an iPhone for $100?

Personally, I won't be convinced to spend 600+ on an iphone with continually problematic and clunky software. Especially when I can get a google nexus for 100-200 cheaper.
I know they make other products, but iphone accounts for over almost 70% of their revenue...
Will be very interesting to see how they adapt.

If you go in at $90 I think you may want to average down soon after. I'm just looking at the overall market.

Android already has the majority of the market. Is Google making the hardware now?

PE of 10.4! So unfair the way the market treats them

Nothing is more unfair than the way the market treats FORD.

Apple,Gilead,Facebook,Google,IBM is pretty much the entire portfolio you need for the next 30 years. Toss in Tesla too, its overvalued but meh $32B company could be alot more.
Gilead and Apple are just steals there's no way around it. Google is just google and will dominate our lives forever and IBM if you read about their Watson program has something really special coming IMO. Facebook is just a flat out monopoly.
Those companies imo will be the great dividend payers of our generation much like the PM,MO,MCD,XOM of our parents generation
Buy them all and your grandkids will thank you dearly.

Count me in as another who refuses to pay $800 for a phone. I can almost get a brand new macbook air for that price. I will need a new phone soon but I will just switch carriers and find someone willing to give me a phone for a good price or switch to a different type of phone, as much as I do not want to do that.
I don't care if I was always paying for the phone and just had it added into my bill. I don't want to come out of pocket $800 up front for a phone. I would much rather have that cost in my monthly bill and be under contract.

This is not the thread for this but whether you are paying the price through the bill or in the phone, you are paying the same price. If you go to someone like T Mobile, you may pay less but it's b/c you are getting worse service.
The real issue facing Apple is not the price of the phone but that now people are starting to keep their phones longer. The best android phones are price very close to IPhones.

Agree, mostly. Your point about people keeping phones longer is a very important one. And, i can get a nexus for 399

IBM has some risky plays that it's juggling right now so it really could go either way. I do own a few shares that I plan on holding for the time being at least.

My plan was to finally sell my AAPL shares sometime later this year. But I couldn't resist $93 so I picked up some more
I think we'll see $120's for the iPhone 7.
