Two 20 year olds making squat change your filter and oil that they bought wholesale. It takes 15 minutes and they charge you $60 or more. They put a sticker on your windshield that says come back after 3000 miles and get raped again or else your car will turn into a flaming death trap.

No one recommends 3,000 mile oil changes other than these assholes.

I have a company lease and the policy is 7 months or 10,000 miles.

You seem to have found the one that's the biggest racket on Earth.

First off, you're paying for the convenience. Second off, it's nobody's fault except the car owner's if they think they have to adhere to the sticker.

Probably using synthetic, Oil changes are the highly important and must be done to protect the engine.. ps I'm not a car guy but drive 3-4k miles a month, blown 2 engines, both due to oil

Money well spent IMO, and I only go about every 8k or whenever the computer tells me

It isn't hard. It is just a convenience thing. I drop it off at the mechanic while I go to work and then pick it up on lunch.

No offense, but you have to be pretty retarded to blow one engine, much less two.

It's really not that bad of a deal.

Mine is usually $120 but that's for 8 quarts of full synthetic every 10k miles, plus I get an fluid, air, belt, etc inspection, vacuum, and windshield cleaning.

It costs $20 around here. No wonder you Louisiana guys can't afford F250's.

So when you go on a long trip you randomly stop every 100 miles or so and check if the oil is leaking. I am not a retard as you so imply, but when you drive that much for that long something is bound to happen. And one was a Jeep the other was the ford 5.4, I'd expect it from both

Nobody is forcing you to go there. Change your own oil if it bothers you.

I have never been able to be mad at somebody for profiting off of people's laziness or stupidity.

So are you telling me you had some type of leak, twice, where you lost all your oil during a long drive?

I do mine in the driveway. Don't have to worry about labor fees or disposal fee because I dump it down the storm drain in front of my neighbors house.
