Here's my recipe for my brew tomorrow. Get to use my new mash tun, heat stick, refractometer, and some new hops.

Neomexicanus NEIPA

5.5 Gallon Batch (assuming i'll lose .5 to 1 gallon of wort due to the trub. But, i also have a hop screener for my sterile siphon starter, so maybe it won't be as bad.)

Est OG = 1.072
Est FG = 1.018
Est ABV = 7.1%
Est. Brewhouse Efficiency = 75%
Est. Mash Efficiency = 85% (expecting a 3-5% jump with new mash tun)
60 Minute Boil

Grain Bill
66.1% Pale Malt (2 Row)
25.2% Golden Promise
5.2% Flaked Oats
3.5% Carafoam

Water Profile - Chloride to Sulfate close to a 1:1 ratio. I don't care for my NEIPA's to be overly chewey.

Yeast
Bootleg Biology NEEPAH - Making 1 - 1.5 Liter starter this evening.

Hop Bill

Boil
.5 oz. Nelson Sauvi - 40 min boil - 14 IBU

Whirlpool (165-170 degrees) - Estimated 46 IBU's
1.75 oz. Sabro
1.25 oz. Azacca
1 oz. Medusa

Biotrans - Day 3 of fermentation
1.5 oz. Sabro
1.25 oz. Azacca
1 oz. Medusa

Dry hop 3-4 days
2 oz. Sabro
1.75 oz. Azacca
1.5 oz. Medusa

refractometer

Great piece of kit. Everybody talks about breaking hydrometers...mine lasted for 25 years until I finally broke it. But I'm on my 3rd refrax. That's how much I like them.
