Will this also help the lsu programs get better grades????? I mean we ARE LAST in the conference in academics. Just saying what should be more important.

Nobody should have an issue with a facility that's both needed and fully funded with private donations IMO.

The grades are another issue entirely.

s. Basically just the iron work has been mostly completed. Probably a month or more before my crews get in there.

What does your crew do?

Obviously you don't. Go cry to TAF donors and tell them to send their money elsewhere if it means so much to you.

Update, TAF is now looking at building the Nutrition Center elsewhere on campus. So the concept is still alive even though the project at Skip Bertman and Nicholson has been shelved.

I always wondered how that would fit in with the Nicholson extension project

Nutrition center is indeed canceled. No other plans are currently in the works. FKA didnt think it would be a good idea for perception, even though it is privately funded.

This is not what I heard, but promising if true. The whole thing was about perception and overhead to keep the building running. Not sure a whole new design in another location would fix this perceived problem by FKA.

So what is the big building on the corner of Nicholson & Skip Bertman? I thought that was going to be the nutrition center.

Out of curiosity, do you know what brand racks, plates, bars, dumbbells etc?

Don't know brands, but the weights from ops will go to the stadium weight room and then those weights will be auctioned.

Not true. Simply being moved.. All I'll say about new location is don't limit your ideas to this Nutrition Center being a stand alone new building...

Meanwhile, the REC center has 2 squat racks and four flat benches for a 30,000 person university.

Yes, they are looking at better options supposedly.

No drawings yet, just discussions.

The only place that could possibly be considered within proximity would be where tennis and softball were. Any other location near could only come if something was torn down. The weight room in Tiger Stadium could be a good location if teams could find space in their facilities. I dont know why FKA is concerned with this, it was a privately funded project.
