That's a big reach even for you.
Ellis needed to be traded. He's a totally different player than Holiday. You aren't winning with Ellis as the top dog, and that's what he wants to be.
Wrong the Bucks were offered Curry or Ellis and they choose Ellis.

Well Gentry said Jrue and AD are the core of this team
It'd take a big offer to dump him.

So the Warriors got lucky.
So that's all we need then. Luck. Wow!

As for Jrue I think Jazz, Bucks, and Kings will all be willing to make a decent deal for him.
I doubt it.
The Jazz don't have anything i'd want except Gordon, and he's not going anywhere.
The Bucks aren't giving up Middleton or Giannis, so they are out.
And the Kings don't have anything worthy of taking for Jrue. No i don't want Mclemore.
The team we need to look at is Denver to trade with. They've got many pieces and are unstable at the PG position and are looking to trade this offseason. They have 2 very young centers that are very good. Wilson Chandler is dealing with injury issues so he's kind of hard to deal with it, and they have a lot of picks to give up. I wouldn't even mind getting Faried from them b/c i think Faried and AD would play well together.
If we make a trade this summer, i hope its with Denver.
I'd give them Jrue and Asik for Chandler and Nurkic and one of their 1st's, assuming Chandler checks out ok. They dont' have enough playing time for Nurkic and Jokic, and Chandler is coming off another hip injury and has 3 years left and Will Barton is playing well. Use their pick to take Denzel Valentine.
Dunn/Frazier/Reke
Bazemore/QPon
Chandler/Valentine
AD/Dante/someone
Nurkic/Ajinca
I'm just farting around b/c i'm bored, so don't go crazy on it.

According to the Bucks. Just like every team in the league was going to draft Draymond, but GS picked him way too early at.... #35. Funny how these stories pop up after Curry becomes a walking supernova or Draymond becomes a legit All NBA player in the league.
And if you want to make an Ellis comp, Evans is your guy. Great ability to get to the rim, questionable jumper and decision maker, indifferent defense. So basically, you think they should trade Evans.

I'd give him away at this point. Give me a second for him to make it a trade and I go about my day.

Then congrats you became another lotto team because we've seen how far Jrue and AD can take us.

You know why you can't get Luwawu out of your head? Because having a legit 3 and D SF changes the dynamic of this team dramatically. It's why trading for QPon had such impact. Monty's lone top 10 defense was built around CP3/Ariza/Okafor and a bunch of bad defenders like Beli/MT5 and David West. Jrue isn't what's wrong with the roster, the SF position is.

Come on I love Q as much as the next guy but stop acting like he's a game changer that was the sole reason we won 45 games. He's a back up that is best playing 20-25 mpg.

Where did I say he was the sole reason? He's the guy that pushed them to the next level. It's the opposite of the Unholy Trinity effect. You add a 3rd 2 way player that's not a total liability on either side of the ball and it makes it easier to cover the deficiencies of guys like Asik or Gordon.

Elhassan: Roster building isn't algebra. It's chemistry.
Just adding a guy like Pondexter as a throwaway in a trade makes a big difference because his particular (and somewhat limited) skill set doesn't exist any where else on the team.
The Pels have never been more than the sum of their parts in the Demps era, except for 3 months last year. When Holiday was out and they added a merely competent 3/D wing. I'd wager that if Evans and Holiday were swapped, the results would have been about the same.
Andrew Sharp had a great piece about the way the league is changing and how many teams just aren't caught up.
All the Superstars are on the Wrong Teams

I hate the idea of trading him but we have to do something and he has real value. I think everyone short of AD should be considered for possible trades.

So because a writer assumes it's fact?
