google has been my best bet... if I am booking a package I go priceline as I've found them to be cheaper when combining room + airfare.

Sky scanner as long as dates aren't too important

Google Flights and Kayak are the best places to compare flights but you're not going to get a "better deal" going to some site.
Always book directly with the airline, if anything happens and you booked on expedia, priceline, hotwire, etc... you are a customer of theirs and not airline. If anything goes wrong you're screwed.
ETA: Find what you are looking for and then book directly with the Airline![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Go with the Airline.
I booked some tickets to China via Airfare.com last year because they were 200 a ticket less than the airline. Ended up before ng a huge PITA when Air China started shifting the departure around. Took me two months to get it fixed and my trip had to be lengthened because of the ordeal.
Had I booked with United I would have had no problems
