I can't dispute any of that. Heard it here first folks, LeBron is your MVP
Posted on 4/14/16 at 1:39 pm to AU_251
The biggest issue is still that Lebron and Love do their best work at the elbow.
Posted on 4/14/16 at 1:45 pm to AU_251
I'd rather Warriors win. I like James on a personal level, but hate the way he can bull and elbow his way to the rim and how the refs let it happen. Just like the way the Warriors play the game more.

I don't think it's far fetched to say the Cavs may have won
I do. This season has shown that. They would have torched a healthy Cavs team trying to play an uptempo style with Kevin Love and Kyrie trying to defend the PnR.
To say a healthy Cavs team would win in 5 is straight up retarded.
The Cavs found success by limiting possessions, earning extra one's for themselves through turnovers and OReb's, and having the best player in basketball basically take every shot. Outside of the obvious of having LeBron it is the same formula the Grizzlies used to have success against them in last years playoffs and largely what the Spurs have tried to use against them. When the Warriors aren't making shots and turning the ball over a lot it works, but they are just too damn good for that to work over a 7 game series.

When an unhealthy Cavs team won 2? Idk about that

Literally explained that in the rest of the post. Healthy Cavs match up horribly with the Warriors.

With DG and KT out they struggle to win a game in the finals last year. This year the Warriors wont even get to the Cavs because the Spurs beat them in 6!

To say they couldn't have the same success, or more, with their second and third best players is something we will have to disagree on I suppose.
Kyrie was giving Steph all kinds of problems before he went down.

That series is going to great. But I hope the Warriors get back so LeBron has another shot at them. Either way, I'm just ready for the playoffs!

They played this year healthy. The Warriors crushed them. I don't see the issue here. Kevin Love got obliterated by them this season. He has no place in this matchup.

Delly also defended him well in one game too. Doesn't mean jack shite.

I want the warriors to dominate the western side of the playoffs. Im talking a sweep or 4-1 series win over the Spurs to make the finals. Absolute machine. And then lose to the Cavs. This board would be magic

Of course it does. The Cavs didn't have the will to win once they realized it was LeBron vs. The Warriors. Kyrie and Delly can get up in that arse, Steph hates when people are physical

I would love for that exact thing to happen as well

That would be predictable; GSW with too hard of a road to the NBA Finals, Cavs too easy of a road, playoff restructure needed.

I don't remember how the first couple games went, but I could have seen the Cavs in 6
Cavs went ice cold in OT (not coincidentally when Kyrie broke his kneecap) and lost Game 1. Won Game 2 in OT. They may have been better last year without Love (although they have started using him more over the last few weeks with good results) but losing Kyrie was an absolute killer in that series. Game 1 was very winnable if he doesn't go down, and the Cavs would have been up 3-0 had that happened.
The Cavs had Kyrie for most of Game 1 and didn't try to outrun Golden State. They played the same style they did for the rest of the series, just with Kyrie instead of Dellavedova.

quote:Well, I think it does. Versatility shouldn't be treated so flippantly. To me it's ridiculous to be so dismissive of such a clearly valuable trait in contributing to team success. It is a significant advantage and is why his team's have always won, no matter who was on the roster.
To me it's ridiculous to try and compare two completely different types of players in a scenario like this. It's inherently easier for LeBron to continue to win without help because he's a bigger body and more versatile. Doesn't make him a better player.

This CLE team is probably Lebron's 2nd worse Finals team in the last 6 seasons.
They'll likely play either the best Spurs team ever or arguably the best team in the history of the league.
If CLE can take either team to 6, I'd be impressed.

When people give Steph the edge in "shooting" I think they're underrating the degree to which that shooting changes things-- Steph's not just a better shooter than Lebron he's a dramatically better shooter than any person who has ever played the game-- the gap between Steph's long range, high volume shooting, and everyone else who has played in the NBA is massive-- he literally redefines what's possible, and alters our entire conception of defensive spacing.

Tell me why I'm wrong.
Tell me how Curry is going carry Golden State all by his lonesome against James, Irving, Love and the rest of that cast that took a healthy Warriors team to 6 games (nearly winning another making it 7)
ETA: Just saw your response to another poster and couldn't disagree more.
You can't make a regular season game comparison to a 7 game finals series. That, as you would say, is straight up retarded.
I'm hoping a healthy Cavs team and a healthy Warriors team meet in the finals. It will be a fun watch and I fully expect the Cavs to win a title.

If Golden State faced a healthy Cavs team last year with Green and Klay, the Cavs would win that series in 5.

No but you can see how matchup problems are a real thing. Happens all the time.
