How in God's name can the perp claim self-defense when he shot Smith's wife? Twice?? How is that self-defense? There are some really gullible and naive people out there. Wow.

It kind of looks like Hayes stops in the middle of the street on Will Smith causing the rear end.....so it is conceivable that will smith then saw him tailing him on the next block and decided to return the favor.

My best guess was like someone said Will probably hit, and then tried to leave to avoid the DWI cause he probably had some sakes. The main point is why in the hell would you go after someone especially at night if they hit you especially if you a wealthy person that owns a towing company you probably have full coverage on your insurance to cover hit and runs.

I wasn't there and I have no clue what really happened. But you realize that bumper to bumper those two were 8 ft away from each other the second their car doors opened. If hayes walked towards smith to yell about the hit and run, they would have been face to face in 1 second.
And obviously the wife was in the background

Yea... I would love to have 10 seconds earlier on the video where hayes started following. Magazine is full of parallel parkers, cars pulling out and Jay walkers.

I walk and drive that area a lot. Both my sister and cousin live about 4 or 5 blocks from where the shooting happened.

Yeah, but the blocks on Magazine are longer than the the blocks perpendicular to it. It is 9 longggggggggggg blocks from Archie's.
It's about 3/4 mile from Archie's to the crime scene.

its like 1/2 mile to juans and maaaybe 2/3 of a mile to the shooting. ive done near the exact stroll dozens if not a hundred of times. its pretty darn close.

It's clear Smith did indeed rear-end Hayes, but to me:
1. It looks like the Hayes hits his brakes suddenly for no apparent reason mid-block (with no vehicles in front of the Hummer)
2. That's an <5mph bump that likely caused little to no damage to either vehicle.
