I think Miles may have been going to Michigan before this morning, but I think it pissed him off so bad that someone leaked the info that he will stay.

Hypothetically if Michigan would leak that info behind his back what else would they do?

Kirk is an Ohio State guy so it wouldn't surprise me. If Kurt Ferentz even gets near Michigan I will trade the Maize & Blue for Purple. Lloyd Carr hates Miles and wanted Ferentz. Hey Lloyd, stay retired and STFU!!!

i seriously doubt Miles would make a potentially life altering decision because info was leaked early. That is just dumb.

According to the Iowa boards, it goes back to when Carr, Miles, and Cam Cameron were all assistants under Gary Moeller in the early 90s.

None of the assistants there liked each other very much and the general opinion was that Cameron and Miles were the biggest loud-mouths of the bunch.

When Moeller got canned and it became apparent that Carr was getting the job, Miles left town with one of the other coaches to go to Oklahoma State.

There's also some pissing and moaning by Carr about Miles bad-mouthing him to recruits.

Specifically, there's accusations that Miles convinced Jai Eugene not to go to Michigan because Miles knew that Carr had a debilitating illness (Parkinson's, I think) that would force him to retire sooner or later.

The story makes sense to me because they also said that Carr has been the coach in name only for a while now, with his OC and DC each doing their own thing.

Considering the total lack of continuity at times between Michigan's offense and defense, it makes the whole thing ring true to me.

These guys think they are being funny on these horrible pre game shows, but they really do affect the outcomes of these games. Its really hard to believe the extent that some of these guys went through to make this season harder on our team than it ever should be. Without ESPN and all these media geniuses creating unwaranted pre season hype and pressure, LSU fans would probably appreciate this team a whole lot more.

Depends on who leaked it. I think it wasn't the only incoming mortar, just the latest.

Has it occurred to anyone on here that Kirk Herbstreit is just an f'ing moron? He believed the rumor mill that had players supposedly telling random people that Miles had already announced he was leaving a few days ago. Kirk is an idiot who bought into it just like 90% of the people on here. He talks out of both sides of his mouth all the time....why is it surprising that he broke a bogus story?

Getting on national TV and saying something you know is a rumor is a little different than just having fun on a message board. He clearly has no journalistic integrity and does not respect his profession. He should be fired. Les should keep pushing this issue till ESPN does something to correct the error. The bottomline here is the OSU guy was trying to hurt the Michigan people.

Because as of this morning, it probably wasn't bogus...

Congratulations Bayou Bengals!

I'm so proud of how Hester, the D, Ryan P. and y'all gutted it out!

Wow, 3 11-win seasons?!

We're proud to have Bo back and wish you the best.

Is that a quote from a blog??? Why would that be any more accurate than the crap that's been posted on here? Just because someone types it up and posts it on the internet doesn't make it the gospel.

I don't think anyone would change a major job position because they are pissed at some media jerk-off. It was much more than being pissed off at KH or negotiations are still on-going.

From a sports reporter with the Detroit News. So...uh...I think it has just a bit more cred than the crap that has been posted here.

Miles could have had that press conference a long time ago, but was playing the game to get more money. I suspect Skip heard ESPN was reporting this shite and told him to end the game publicly.
