That's what ATMs are for.
Mexican ATM. Only time in my life I have ever seen an Uzi in service and not just hanging on a wall at a gun store.
That's what the hotel room safe is for. If you don't trust the staff and the safe? I always put my cash in my dirty laundry. I usually pick an old looking pair of drawers. Wad it up in there and leave in the closet. Nobody is going through a mans dirty boxer shorts.
You're welcome.

was there at an all inclusive 2 weeks ago. bring tip money for wait staff (bartenders, room service, etc.). And although your transportation to/from airport is included, tip the drivers and folks that unload your bags at resort.
also, since it is all you can eat, whatever you want, 7 x 24, prepare for mediocre food. decent but not great.
sun is brutal mid-day - sunscreen and shade are your friends.

Anymore tips you can provide since you've been here?

I've been to a massive all inclusive resort in Cancun before that had ton to do at the resort......still would have gotten bored to tears if I didn't leave the resort once. Just saying......consider some of the excursions(Tulum is gorgeous).
Enjoy your honeymoon and congrats

Depending on age and your time together you can only do so much screwing. The rest of the time will be answering "what are you thinking?"
Resorts need a couple things. 24 hour burger place (tip that dude). Good bar/club. Of course a good pool.
Cancun beaches can be rough for swimming. Beautiful to look at but not so much for swimming. You are SWIMMING not playing in the water. I can recall a much younger me getting my arse handed to me by the waves. There is no standing out in waste deep wate and sipping a drink like Cozumel or DR. Waste deep water means the waves will break about face high and constantly push/pull you.

There will be people each day providing info and selling daily tours. Tulum and ruins. Snorkeling? Pub crawl? Booze cruise?
Ask around. You will meet people. Find those in your age range and ask them what was worth it. The day you get there will be somebody's last day or next to last. They will be liquored up and ready to share the wealth of experience.

Also.....depending where the resort is in Cancun....the beaches may not be as pretty/nice as other areas.
That was the case the resort we stayed at in Cancun. Beach had a ton seaweed on it all the time and uglier water. We spent more time at the pool instead of the beach because of that.
Totally different experience when I stayed a resort in Playa del Carmen. Beaches there much nicer where we stayed at.

Also, our flight leaves at 5:40 am (2 days after our wedding), what time would you get to the airport? We are flying out of nashville.

Moon Palace?
That's one we stayed at. Resort was incredible. The beach had constant seaweed. And they made a colossal futile effort every morning at 5-6 am to pull that shite. Bulldozers and bobcats every morning.

0400-0415.
Can't be that busy that early.
Have the extra bag packed with some pool clothes because you ain't getting to your room once you get there. Gonna be a couple downtime hours. Try not to get shitfaced immediately.

If you have AT&T just call them and they will add unlimited talk and text in Mexico for free. They also give you 1 gig of data per month in Mexico.

Why won't we get to,our room when we get there?

Yeah it was Moon Palace. Stayed there in 2001.
Place had a ton of stuff to do and different restaurants. But I remember being a tiny bit disappointed about the beach area.
The pool there was incredible though wasn't it?

You won't get to your room right away because it's like any other hotel. They are busy cleaning rooms in the am and don't let people check in until the afternoon.

Besides the beach, moon palace is awesome! We was ok going to their sister resorts with beautiful beach on their free shuttle though

For your cell phone call your provider and add international calling for about $5/month. Only use your phone if you have to bc it is still abou $0.50/minute.
Don't text because it starts to add up quick with international texting
TURN OFF DATA ROAMING or you will get raped on data charges
Wouldn't a burn phone be the way to go?

If you want to do something fun, see how much a cab to Akumal Beach is. It's probably about $20. It's a public beach where you can swim with the sea turtles. They are there year round. Just bring your snorkel and mask and you can rent a life jacket for $5.
We went in February and are going back in June. The water was cold in February but my kids said it was the best part of the trip.
You don't have to pay for an excursion or anything, just get in the water and float around until you see turtles eating grass.

Yes it was.
Great golf course too. Nice nightclub and piano bar area.
Remember actually enjoying meals there too. Which is not often the case at an all inclusive.
