This isn't true
I think Option B become more attractive the later you are in your career.

ill take option B. I already do in my real life, getting paid very little to do shite that I enjoy. I think it's worth it, and on this scale where money isn't an issue, the decision would be even easier.

If I'm Kaepernick I might seriously consider Denver over SanFran. Lose some money in the first year, but if his career is revived, that could mean he'll make a ton of more money down the road.

With the first pick in the draft the Tennessee Titans select...Partywiththelombardi
Partywiththelombardi what are your thoughts on being a Titan? I love BBQ, Country Music, and the outdoors. I can't wait to sublease an apartment in Tennessee during football season then move back to my beach house in January when we are done playing.
I would be just like Leon.

You'll probably get more endorsement deals in B, meaning more money.

Not unless your Tom or Gronk. At 6 mill I would assume your a good not great player.
At 10 million you are the crown jewel of a crap franchise and will still have local endorsement spots.

He said you're famous in both scenarios, though.

Joe Thomas is a much better player than Vernon Davis though.

31-32 years old with career earnings off 100 million sounds better than 60 million pretty much anyway you slice it.

Every NFL player is technically famous. Not every player gets endorsements especially with national brands. The Pats have had a ton of good players since 2001 and few have gotten those "real" endorsements just because they were on a very successful team.
You would have to be a star player or have a star agent...and star agents usually dont feed their clients top endorsements when they take discounted contracts that cut into their own commission.
Most agents have multiple clients and feed their top guys like Drew, Watt, Clay, or AR all of whom get PAID..

I'd want to be the best player I could be.
Generally speaking, a $100mil 10 year span would mean I was better than a $60mil 10 year span, so I'd take the $100mil as it would likely mean I was the better player.

I will say this: championships are much more important in basketball then they aren't in football. See Marino, Dan

From a business perspective A, without hesitation. From a competitiveness stand point of trying to achieve greatness, then it would be B.

Nobody gives a shite about championships except the fans of that team
Really. I can't even name the last 5 champs in the major 3 sports
It's a game. They crown a new one every year. It isn't that Special. $40M means something

Not sure I agree there. Sure, some athletes are just in it for a paycheck, but when you spend your entire life training to be one of the best in the world in a given field, the chances are that you will give a huge frick about measures of success like titles and wins. It's not only natural, it's almost inevitable. You're going to get a competitive streak or you're going to fail to make it in the pros.
