If Miles Stays Welcome to Mediocrity and Much Worse

LSU should not even let staying be an option for him.
If he were going to stay he could have made it very clear 2 weeks ago that he is not a candidate and that he will be signing some kind of contract extension w/ LSU.
He did not.
He feuled the speculation and BLEW the MNC.
If in your job you blow a project and cost your company millions, GUESS WHAT!
At this point he HAS TO GO! I still beleive he will.

He's already staying
You must have missed the memo

Why ban? Just because he has a different opinion than you?

:omg:
So when he stays, are you going to stop supporting LSU?

We'll see, but I think the NFL draft will prove differently.
Let's see how much support he has 6 hours from now. The outcome of this game will make a difference either way.
But don't you agree he could have avoided this distraction, then it would not be an issue.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I'm not a big Miles fan whatsoever, but I don't blame him for this situation.
First, he didn't start the speculation.
Second, he is in the business of coaching, in your business do you not try to make as much money as possible.
Finally, he didn't cost us the MNC. In fact, call me crazy but I blame bood ole Tubby. Ever since the "shady" hit on Dorsey we've had trouble with the run. McFadden clearly exploited that.
I'm not trying to start any argument with you, just pointing out the other side.

Where are the SECCG and NCG wins to go along with that record?
Posted on 12/1/07 at 12:23 pm to specs1
I tend to agree, record's can be decieiving (Hell Arnsparger won the SEC in his first year). Based on disciplinary issues and the fact that he rarely gets the most out of his players leads me to believe it will lead to an unfortunate decline.

I agree. he should be doing this for alot less than what he is making. Who needs money? pfft.

Put down the koolaid and step into reality! The fairytail you outline above would have been wonderful...unfortunately, the REAL world doesn't work like that...
Coaching Football isn't Les's hobby, it's his job! When you do a JOB and do it well, others notice and express interest...Then you "listen" to the offer and make a decision.
He's picked LSU (or so it appears, for now)...personally, I'm happy with that! Obviously, you're not! But just what are you basing your doom and gloom prediction of pending Mediocrity and Much Worse????

I bet LSU didn't offer the 3 million or more last week. Possibly, what took LSU so long to offer a huge extension?
Posted on 12/1/07 at 12:27 pm to specs1
Win or lose, it's too late. I want him gone. He left this matzah ball hanging out there too long either way.

Good thing your opinion matters for nothing to LSU. Who gives a shite what you want?

I don't think we were overrated, I think the defense was as you said totally spent.

quote:NFL draft will prove nothing...I believe last year's team was better than this year's team...the teams we lost to last year were not as good this year...CFB was down this year, we benefited from a high preseason rankings...we just enjoyed the benefit of being ranked so high at the beginning of the year.
We'll see, but I think the NFL draft will prove differently.
Our team is still one of the best in CFB this year, but many teams can claim that this year.

Unfortunately we are stuck with him for a long time, this is the worst thing that could happen.
