There is no reason that a top baseball program should be rebuilding. This team is young but they really needed to get their feet wet against better talent early on. This isn't your typical LSU team and it might be the worst one CPM has had. It's hard finding any ALL SEC type talent on this team outside of Lange.

Then he needs to explain wtf this season is and why the talent level is inferior.
We are missing some really good players we brought in but they left.

Pretty much team is way to young will be a long rest of the season.
No, just NO! There are "Young" teams all over the Country hitting the ball. We have a TALENT problem, not a youth problem. Can we admit now that CPM's recruiting ittle, scrappy players is failing this program miserably?

Scrappy, little players are pretty much all you'll find in Louisiana year in and year out. Not a lot of power hitters live here.

Does Florida have 6 NC's? We shouldn't be compared to them. They're better than us the past two years, mostly beCause our recruiting has taken a nose dive.

Amen Carville. That's exactly what might point was about not being prepared.

BTW that Florida team had a ton of young talent, where as this LSU team doesn't.

They currently have a much better coach than us, and even he had to have a rebuilding year.

We have a pretty big time class coming in. There is some good foundation for a great team and there will be attrition. LSU will be fine. I'm not a big Paul fan, but every major baseball program has to rebuild at some point

We're not allowed to reruit out of state? Fraley's from freakin Delaware, Bregman, New Mexico. No excuse to not have better players year in year out.

I sure hope you aren't counting on the entire class to make it and do we use the young excuse until CPM finally gets some talent.

The last time lsu lost the first two SEC series was 2011... the last time we didn't make the tournament.

It was fricked up that we didn't get in. We had something like a 26 RPI. But we were 13-17 in the league and didn't make the SECT.

It's strange because they don't look at it similar to how college football does. Lots of 3-5 SEC record football teams make a bowl game. We got hosed in 2005 and '11. I wouldn't be shocked if we got hosed again. I think we'll have a similar resume to those seasons.

LSU currently has an RPI of 11 so they're still in good shape

Rebuilding here used to mean we didn't make Omaha. We haven't had a team less talented than this since before Skip.

It's not just having a down year. It's going to be at least two or three. It's not like this team is full of young studs who need a little more experience. Hopefully that will be next years team.

A lot more programs give a frick about baseball now. How difficult is it for some of you morons to process? Every single major college baseball program has have a dropoff some seasons, as goes for every single college sport. How is this so difficult for our fans to comprehend? Like every other fanbase understands it but our dense chicken littles

Yeah they should recruit out of state, but scholarship limits have a big impact on the players you can get

I wouldn't go that far . Very young. And face it. Lsu doesn't get the best of the rest like they used to.
