What was worse? The way Nick left or this?

Obviously Nick left later which hurt recruiting more but even tricky Nicky seemed a little more honest about everything. Also, that one didn't cost us anything except an embarassing loss in our bowl game. He did pull it on Christmas though.

Which is worse?

With the way I feel now, especially how unfocused we've played the last couple games, i'd say this hurts more. At least right now, I can't believe this shite.

This scenario has to be worst than when Saban left. Saban's news wasn't in the middle of a
SEC Championship.

Well, Saban ruined Christmas, and then lost us our bowl game. That game still irritates me to think about even a few years later.

I think it kind of depends on whether we win or lose today. If we lose...I will definitely feel worse and be much more angry about this.

Well at least Miles let us know the minute it was a done deal. Nick waited until xmas day.

This. There is no doubt Nick was coaching us the season and I never once even thought the staff had its minds elsewhere. I was at teh Ark. game in Little Rock and the staff and players were very much into that game.

Saban lied, ruined Christmas, lost our bowl game and then tried to mess up our bowl game last year by announcing his return to Bama on the same day. I would say Saban, but this is pretty bad.

Saban. Nothing can change the way he sneaked out of town like a
"Snake Oil Salesman" ....

The way nick left was worse.

les is leaving to fulfill a lifelong dream, we knew this would be a possiblity all along, and we'll at least be able to have an open market of coaches to compete for the job.

it seems to be Miles is trying to do everything the right way.

Saban had poor timing announcing his departure. But, if it ruined your christmas and was over the age of about 18 at the time, you have some pretty piss poor values anyways.

I can see how Saban coming back to Bama of all places could hurt some feelings. But you have to understand this is a business.

I wonder how many people on this board would turn down a job paying over 100% more than what you are currenlty making for the joys of drving on Essen and Siegan vs A1A or Coconut Grove?

Saban came after we were already in the Capital One Bowl, we had a shot at the national title, rumors became strong, we lost our chance at a national title. Now we have a chance to be SEC Champs and get into a BCS Bowl and the rumor is that he is gone. This one would hurt the team more, if we lose today.

Lets put it this way, Saban actually finished the job by winning a national championship before he left, Im worried as to whether Miles can now just get an SEC title before he leaves. Miles loses this game then my take is that Miles leave is worse then Sabans.

I think Les has handled it the best you can.

Lloyd really put him in a bind announcing his retirement this early.

considering that Nick left us a year after winning a national championship and Les is leaving us during a year in which he blew the easiest road ever (for an SEC team) to the national championship, I'd say this is worse

Saban tanked one game, although it was an important one.

This Miles - Pelini stuff could cost us three games (Ark., SECCG, Bowl Game)

Saban def. Not only did he wait till xmas, but then he gets hired by Bama on the day LSU is in the Sugar Bowl. Then introduced as Bama HC during a Bama bball game against LSU.

Miles is a Michigan guy. His name was rumored before the season since people were predicting Carr would step down. He's leaving to be home.

Saban left for money. He left when he said he wouldn't. He told the players as much. He left when the cupboard was full and ready to win a national title. He let LaRon, Bowe, Buster, Glen, Chevis, Zenon, Steltz, Dorsey, Sanders, Highsmith, Hester, Flynn, Jamarcus, and every other senior and junior from the last 3 years go on without him. When he knew damn well we should have won the SEC 3 years in a row.
