Nautic Star 1910 around inshore southern LA?

I was looking pretty hard at the NS 214 and 224 XTS, but am thinking it may be overkill for what I want to do.
I plan on fishing places like delacriox, golden meadow, lafitte, shell beach.. and Lake P (causeway) on calm days.
It will usually be myself + 1 or 2 other people fishing.
I don't care about going fast so riding slower in rougher weather is fine with me...
Is the 214/224 overkill for my usage, and would the 1910 suffice?
Would really appreciate hearing from owners!

The 1910 would be plenty fine for that.

No matter what you want, there will be people here telling you to go bigger, get what you like, if it is your first boat, it will help you find out what you want on your next boat.

We got a 1910 a few years ago specifically to be able to get up in the marsh in Golden Meadow and the surrounding area.
It has been a great boat with no issues whatsoever. Rides well, tons of storage, and can comfortably fish 3 people. You can fish 4 I'd they all know what they're doing.

I had a friend that had an 18' Blue Wave years ago... We went all over in that boat in all kinds of weather. We did have to go slower that the larger boats... and it is not as comfortable as a 24' bay boat but it did get us where we needed to go.

I've looked at the same boats you mention and am leaning toward the 21' because I live by Lake Borgne and Lake P.
My cousin fishes Delecroix almost every week in an 18' Blue Wave and does great.
A 19 will be fine if you fish protected water more than open water.

We have a 16 foot aluminum for the marsh and a 21 foot for outside and bays. fished 4 out of my 16 foot regularly with no problems, plus taking it off the beaches and whatnot. you'd be fine in a 19

I have a 2009 NS1910 w/ Yamaha 115. I fish inshore Grand Isle, Lafitte and its a GREAT boat. I'd prefer a 150 in it cause loaded down the 115 can struggle but I love my boat.

IMO the 1910 sounds fine for the uses you described. Also, if you decide to go out by yourself it will be much easier to deal with.
