So Arkansas will be the new Auburn. Tubbs can recruit, and is a great gameday coach.

tubby has everything to gain going to UA. He could be the savior and be reveared like saban was when he turned the program around here. They have crazy fans like every sec school but the expectation are not unrealistic like here or alabama, florida, tenn etc. It's also a chance to get the hell out of dodge before saban starts whoopin arse!!!!

since lsu went from lossers to champions, we have made everyone think they can turn their program around.

the sec is getting rediculous

TT is hunting on JJ's property. JJ is NOT going to pay the $6mil. IF the buyout takes place, somebody other than Jones will have to come up with it. The Kiffin & Orgeron noise is real. There is ONE hang up: the university is leary of turning Lane & O loose on the recruiting trail. UA is on "double secret probation": one more screw up & we're going down. If the UA could satisfy itself that LK & O can remain in check w/o getting us in trouble, then LK may well be the new coach. Jerry can get Al to let him loose if necessary.

Maggs any truth to this?

The notion that Jerry Jones will have any sway over Al Davis is laughable.

Unless Davis is really pissed at Kiffin - which is always possible when a coach has a 3-8 record - there's no way in hell Kiffin is going anywhere.

As far as I can tell, he hasn't 'stepped down' yet because there's no evidence that this it true.

Most news reports are backing off the earlier claim that Tuberville was heading to Arkansas.

I was reading about this on an Arky board and they said one of the Board of Trustees is holding out on the deal because they want Tubby to bring back Gus Malzahn as OC. How stupid do you have to be to negotiate with a high level HC and start placing demands on him.

But all indications are that Tuberville is the man Arkansas wants. Talks are ongoing, but the source reported a possible 10-year deal worth $37 million.

Nothing signed but there surely is a lot of smoke. Bad move on Tubby's part.
Yeah, following your heart is always a bad move
