No doubt.

A busted tire going 90 on that bridge is gonna be a big deal. Prolly hit the guard rail, hit somebody else, etc.

Not worth it. Set the cruise at 65 and keep your beer down like everybody else.

I bet you think your little brother is so cool for going 140 on a bridge with no emergency lanes don't you? I hope he kills himself before he kills an innocent family or person driving on the causeway.

they write tickets off of vehicles getting from point A to point B. it's a matter of time before he's caught. They time from the air.
I think this was more scare campaign than anything.

Not a scare campaign, just trying to work out the legalities so they can properly enforce. I believe I saw there was an issue with the State law that they were trying to "correct" and they are more than likely handle it similar to the red light cameras (i.e., a municipal violation not a traffic/criminal violation).

I just know I've never seen an aircraft in the area that appears to be monitoring the bridge. Seems to be a very expensive way to issue tickets when they can just pick off dummies from the crossovers.

I have a court date. Apparently when you go 25 over you can't just pay the ticket and are obligated to appear in court.

When I was in college, I got a speeding ticket for going 90 on I-12 in the Hammond area. I remember there was a guy ahead of me on the docket who was there for going 115, or somewhere in that range. The judge called his name, verified his charge, and had the bailiff take him out of the courtroom to be placed in a jail cell.

I remember getting a little nervous at that point.

I can guarantee you it will be over $600. Withcourt fees and all. Plus they will make you take a driving course. I know cause my idiot brother did it 4 months ago on the causeway

Pay your fine.

Might lose your license. Sounds like reckless operation.

The speed limit on the causeway should be at least 80. I hate that it is so damn slow.

Pretty sure the fine is $100 + $10*mph over limit
$100 + $10*25 = $350 BOOM
