Main Event Entertainment, a Dallas-based company that operates entertainment centers across the country, is set to open its first Louisiana location in Baton Rouge.
Main Event has agreed to lease a 49,810-square-foot space at the Siegen Lane Marketplace near Interstate 10, according to Olshan Properties, a New York-based real estate firm that owns and manages Siegen Lane Marketplace.

The Baton Rouge location, like Main Event’s other facilities, will include state-of-the-art bowling lanes, a multi-level laser tag arena, and a ropes course suspended over a games gallery featuring more than 100 interactive and virtual games, Olshan Properties says in a news release.
Food options will include an “extensive chef-inspired menu, specialty pizzas and a full bar serving innovative cocktails, wines and craft and local beers,” Olshan says.
The center also will offer catering in private rooms equipped with A/V equipment and free Wi-Fi for corporate meetings and special events.

Great, another fun place that will be overrun by undesirables loitering and spending little to no money.

Pretty sure the old Tinseltown has been completely torn down.

Not sure if you're serious but they tore tinseltown down a few months ago

Damn really? I feel like last time I went by it was still there.
Just assumed that's what the 50,000 sq ft building was

Main Event Entertainment has signed a lease to build a nearly 50,000-square-foot family entertainment center with a bowling alley, laser tag arena and restaurants at the site of the old Tinseltown movie theater off Siegen Lane

FIFY
You been to Area 51 on a weekend before?
Went with my girlfriend and a group of friends. The 18 year old "kids" were in the dodgeball cage getting 5 feet from the girls and blasting them in the face with a dodgeball. No parents around, no workers gave a frick.
This is a small caricature of exactly what ME will turn into.

Oh the memories. Was at the one in grapevine years back, hooked up with a girl from hooters, yada yada yada, my friends bailed me out of jail in the morning with no clothes

My buddy owns the contract to install all the special lighting and audio-visual in those places. Lots of projectors and cool shite. Some of them are nicely done, but let's face it: bowling alleys are not exactly high class joints to begin with.

Fulton alley sure is pretty nice for a bowling alley.

They couldn't find any land closer to Gardere?
Nice little weekend night -hit up the bowling alley, then head on over to the Grown Folks Lounge.

Good. Maybe some more kids will discover the great sport of bowling.

Top Golf won't come to Baton Rouge under their existing franchise agreement. There isn't enough population.

Is that really what is at grown folks lounge? My wife and I always joke about going to that place.
