Holy shite, did you see that pic of the bridge. If the wind starts blowing 20-25 mph water will come over the road. That's scary.

Yes, and I want to run East/West between the pilings.

Here's the Tx. side

You get on plane outside so the bow doesn't hit, then quickly run in there between them.

We will be there Friday.

At Housen. I'll be happy with some 4 pounders.

Our lake house had about an inch of standing water in it from the water draining off the streets. The cabin at the edge of the water was sitting in about 3 inches. Already looking at tile floors to put down after tearing out all the carpet

Man we are wore out. Been a long day.

Had some crazy patterns going. I was trying to flip bushes and pops was catching em on picnic tables, outdoor fireplaces, and air conditioning units. He whooped me. He also had a good 6-7 lber throw the hook at the boat.

We also did better the worse the weather got. The bite really slowed this afternoon.

I'm sorry I don't know the names of where we fished but I'll try to describe. We fished a good many secondary coves around the state park. Seems the water was clearer in the secondaries. We tried running back up the main creek if the park but that was some of the dirtiest water I've ever seen.

So then we went to the creek south of us. The water was much clearer in that creek.

Spinnerbaits didn't do squat. Senko didn't do squat. Sweet beavers and trophy hunters got all the action. Again, some around bushes, but back porches over freshly mowed grass really produced. Also, I think fishing quietly helped. Let the wind be your trolling motor.

8 really good fish were boated. Abnormally high amount seemed to get off though.

Long day tomorrow too. Prolly gonna hammer the creek south of us the most. I did see a good one on a bed I may try tomorrow.

Try backing off and fish the sea wall drop offs. A lot of times they will stack up waiting on prey coming out of the yards.

It's storming now so we're at the camp waiting it out.

Bite was crazy good this morning. They ate everything we threw at em. Muddy water, clear water, don't matter. The size isn't as good today as yesterday but I still can't believe how many 2.5-3 lb fish we're catching in less than a foot of water. Hopefully it stays like this after the rain.

Dang, I just talked to my dad about an hour ago and he was under the boat shed at San Miguel waiting out the storm. Said he's only got one keeper and one throwback, and he's been fishing across from San Miguel and near the state park. He must be doing something wrong
