I'm making my first trip to Toledo Bend next weekend. I see they are predicting a lot of rain next week. Will this muddy up the lake and turn the bite off?

Back the creeks may muddy up, just work your way out towards the mainlake. there will be good water somewhere.

It should be clearer the closer you get to the main lake. Just flip bushes and throw spinnerbaits and chatter baits.

Fish will be by pines, hickories and sweetgums instead of cypress

I'm kind of hopeful it will move on out and get better by the next weekend. This weekend may be a bust.

Patroon was a mudhole a couple weeks ago according to my uncle, so I can only imagine what it's like now.

I've got a two day tournament down there this weekend out of Huxley, and I haven't even see the lake this year. Hopefully we can trailer, the north end is going to be nasty.

Hush, That's a secret...........

It doesn't happen there like at Rayburn, though.

Historic Crests
(1) 173.95 ft on 05/18/1989
What does that mean for the lake since we're only .99 ft away from the historic high crest?

They can go up in the woods and spawn and nobody can get to them...........

Lake at 174.16 right now with the gates wide arse open! They were up to 12.12 inches of rain yesterday evening in Many, probably getting close to 20 by later today.

How high you think it will get?

No idea, this is the highest I've ever seen it. I would imagine it's still gonna rise a decent amount more with all the creeks coming in and the water coming from north of the lake. I guess we'll see in the next couple days
