Anyone know a ballpark figure on how much off MSRP most Toyota dealers will come off the price of a Tacoma? Website shows MSRP 33170 and 35950 for the two builds I like. Both 4 door, 4x4, and full size bed.
Just wondering before I start looking arond.

You could damn near buy a new full size truck for that much.

Why are you talking about MSRP for a used vehicle? Your post is confusing. If you're actually talking about 2013 models, that's too much money. If you're asking how much they'll come off MSRP for a new unit, figure around $3k to $4k.

ETA: It's a little early in the year to get that much off a 2016, but if you're persistent enough, you should be able to.

Yeah - I would think $2000 to $2400 would be more common this early. $3000 to $3600 after the Summer. Tacomas sell themselves.

The F150 is going to be within $2k of the Tacoma at worst. It's up to you if you prefer to have the bigger truck. I'd be buying the F150 due to the much more comfortable interior and bigger bed.

I don't mind paying 2k more for the F150 but if I can get a yota for 31K vs F150 for 38k, well that is a big difference.

I may toss the idea of just the F150 super cab not the crew cab. My oldest kid is out the house and the big crew cab may just be over kill

I just purchased a 2013 Tundra CrewMax with 20k miles for $33k.

I was looking at the Tacomas but you can get a full size truck for the same price.

FYI you can buy a new Tundra (not any special edition or 4x4) for this. Love the Tacoma, but they are a little too proud of them IMO. I think they would sell twice as many if they were in the mid 20's price range for a decent model.

You can get the F150 under $34k all day long right now. LINK

I've driven both, the crew cab is a no brainer.

Is there any subject you don't just completely suck on?

OP obviously wants 4wd. And Tacomas sell great and hold their value extremely well.

They're a little more willing to back off of them now vs 3 years ago, but I think 3-4K is high. Back then if you got 1k off you had done good

I wouldn't expect more than $1-2k discount, and you will need to work them pretty damn hard.

For perspective, I got mine for like $3500 off, and that was a 2015 less than 45 days before 2016 began to get shipped. I had to work dealers for a couple weeks for that price too. In the late fall they were not coming down any more than $500 from what I gathered.

Full size bed is rare too, so might have less wiggle room.

I don't know why you're trying to debate on full size or midsized. You should know which one you need. And go with the big cab, you'll regret it if you don't.

I would've gotten the taco had the back seat been bigger. From what I understand, that's one of the reasons the GM trucks have gotten a foothold

I'm not a big guy so the Yota doesn't bother me. The F150 is nice but big. Which is good but I can take either if I can get a good price.

2016 Tacoma

Just put in all the things you want and it gives you what you should be able to get it for.
