You need to tighten up. I'm drinking several 20 oz cups of scotch a night and I'm far from an alcoholic.

I generally try to limit to a few drinks on weekend nights...as far as I am concerned, it can get way out of hand if you don't set some limits for yourself.

I have a drink or two most nights in the form of a couple beers, a bottle of wine w/ the wife, or a two finger whisky. I drink socially (more than just a few drinks) probably once every two weeks. Sometimes more depending on time of year such as football season or the holidays. I will actually get drunk maybe once a month. I used to drink to get drunk all the time when I was younger, but now hangovers suck and I have shite to do so I avoid them.

I know a lot of people that do that. I don't see a big problem with it as long as you can hold down a job and function.

My dad drank every night from as far back as I can remember. He always had a job. He did die when he was 52... but that's a different conversation. He also smoked weed and cigarettes every night so that didn't help.

I think that's a good definition, I feel about the same way.

1-4 nights per week. Typically Friday and Saturday, then sometimes a couple happy hours during the week.

Some weeks I don't drink at all, but I usually drink at least once.

I'll have a glass of wine most nights in the tub while I read.
