Bulls vs. Warriors: Harper/Jordan/Pippin vs. Curry

I think the all defensive team shuts down the Warriors. I think Phil Jackson rotates them on Curry with Harper getting most of the dirty work.
The real question is who could guard Jordan/Pippen or even Kukoc off the bench?
4-2 Bulls
Fun to talk about, but really it's not even fair until the Warriors close the deal this season.

Which team is Steve Kerr on?

I would pay good money to see Dennis Rodman and Draymond Green annoy the hell out of each other in the paint.

No, actually that is not the real question, as it would be AI or Green. 1996 rules favor the Warriors even more so than the current rules/schemes.

Curry would run circles around Ron harper and his two bum knees. Chicago Ron was no where near the athlete he was in Los Angeles.

Is this hypothetical before or after the Warriors get Durant this offseason? Either way I see a 7 game series with the home court advantage the deciding factor

Ummm this is truly the Bulls' X-factor?
There are like 6 guys on the Warriors who could guard him.

You = incredibly stupid
4-0 sweep by the warriors easily
The skill level in the game today is on another level

Bulls Starting Five vs Warriors
PG - Harper - Curry
SG - Jordan - Thompson
SF - Pippen - Barns
PF - Rodman - Green
C - Longly - Bogut
Bench
Kerr - Livingston
Kukoc - AI
- Speights
- Barbosa
I grew up watching the Bulls and they were unreal but so is this Warriors team. If you played just the starting 5 I would go with the Bulls
If you add the bench, I would have to give the edge to the Warriors. I think that is one of the real reasons the Warriors are so good in their depth.
Still cannot believe that the Spurs are also on pace for a 70 win season
That would be cool to have 2 70 win teams

Remember what happened to Toni Kukoc in the '92 Olympics? That is what would happen to Curry. 3 6'6" guards rotating to stay fresh crushing Curry.
Plus the Bulls could score at will over the shorty Warriors.

I think Pippen could keep Curry in check. By keep in check Curry still scores 20 points but still he'd force more turnovers

Lol and what do the Bulls do when Curry is pulling up 40-foot 3's?
Posted on 3/1/16 at 9:29 am to Tiger Attorney
I fricking loved the 90s NBA and MJ but this thread is absurd. I think it would be a great series, at least 6 games for sure, but some of the comparisons have to be trolling. If I had to pick I say Warriors in 7

Gonna need a Curry board soon

Dubs are incredible. Super fun to watch. The difference here is that the Bulls have the single best player to ever lace them up, and three of the best defenders of all time. Nobody on the dubs can hold a candle defensively to MJ, Pip and Rodman. Curry gets his, he'll go bonkers, the great ones always do, but the Bulls can use their three best defenders to effectively take out Klay, Dray and #4/TBD. Crunch time you put MJ on Curry.
Dubs have a deeper bench, but its the playoffs/finals, and rotations tighten up big time.
Lastly, the Dubs have to win it all before this is even a fun hypo. To do so they have to get through a solid clips team that does not fear them, SA/OKC and then Bron. That is a rough road.
ETA: Dray is a great defender, but let's see a few more years of this before we throw him in the MJ, Pip, Rodman level.
ETA2: Pip, MJ and DR were each first team all NBA defensive players in '96.
ETA3: LAst edit, Pip, MJ and DR can all guard multiple positions, so switching/picks are not going to be a problem for those guys.

Another one of these threads, very original. Let me take a guess, the youngsters pick the Warriors in a sweep, the old crowd take the Bulls. How'd I do?

MJ plays deny ball on Steph while Pippen controls Klay. Real battle is down low with Rodman and Draymond. Bulls would look to slow the game down and get into half court sets with MJ working the paint. Warriors might have the edge on the bench but Point Guard Steve Kerr calls out all the Warriors plays before they happen and Bulls win.
