This is some down home Michigan homerism right here
I love me some Bruce Bowen, and even I think he would have gotten embarrassed by Curry. Defenses in Dumars' day simply didn't have to account for anything along the lines of what Curry does on a nightly basis.
2nd there has never been a 3 point chucker like Curry past or present but Dumars guarded Vernon Maxwell, Dale Ellis, Reggie Miller, John Starks etc so to act like he's never seen a 3 point shot is just stupid.

To act like Maxwell, Ellis, Miller, or Starks are anywhere NEAR the three point terror Curry is is flat out idiotic

He wouldnt be that much better. His percentage isnt going to go up by taking more threes. If anything it would do down. People also guard the three much better today then back in the day due to the fact there is more emphasis on it.
Reggie Miller 3p% 39.5%
Steph Curry 3p% 44.6%
To have 5% higher while taking more threes is unreal. Everyone talks about how the three is bigger in todays game which is true, but that also means guarding the 3 is bigger, which makes it tougher to have a good %
Again...Curry may go down as the greatest percentage long range shooter ever. Time will certainly tell.
But...I think it does no one any good trying to compare apples to oranges, and when you compare players like this to eras that are so different no one wins, but shitty local talk radio hosts who have fodder for idiots to argue about!
Like I said...I love Steph's game. Not only is he a phenomenal shooter, but he's got great handles and is a premiere passer. all of those things would make him a great player in any era. Where he's being aided, I think, is that he's ALSO benefiting from playing in a system that emphasizes quick play, tons of motion, a smaller line up and rewarding the open man with the shoot...so everyone works without the ball.
I just personally see no reason to say a word about any other player when talking about a current one. And if someone does it and they have to go back far enough to where the game was so different, then it becomes kind of pointless to me.

can you read?

And Bowen on his best day wasn't anywhere near the elite level of a Joe Dumars or Tony Allen or Jason Kidd or Alvin Robertson etc

you can't really compare MJ and SC. If Curry took as many shots and FT's as MJ I can't imagine what his average would be...but he doesn't so he doesn't get the fouls MJ did

This is incorrect, but to the larger point, I wasn't even comparing Bowen to Dumars
Go back and read before you get your dander up, please

The lebron James fanboys are certainly not loyal fans to Curry-The Usurper. Most MJ fans feel the same way about LRJ if not for hearing from the 19 year olds of the world how James is the GOAT...which maybe could've been up for discussion until LeBrons lost grip on the league...

Why are you so hostile on LeBron lately, bro?

So what is your point? Yes Curry is going to shatter his own record for 3s and is taking them from deeper than anyone in NBA history. Is your point that if 2 teams from different eras played both teams would have to adjust? Well yeah no shite

Have yall not realized most LeBron "fanboys" also like Curry? You know why? Because they are normal people who like watching awesome basketball and dont have an irrational hatred stick lodged in their arse

I'm not hostile on him, brostein. I think there is always an excuse for him. The Cavs had a great offseason last year.they have a good roster.hes just too ball dominant when playing with TWO guys who need it
The thing about Love and LeBron is that they both want the ball on the same spots on the court. If you are the franchise player and you personally recruit a guy (twice) then you make the sacrifices to put the offensively strong player in the best position to make his biggest impact.
LeBron can do practically anything wants on the court...so why not adjust so his team can unlock their potential?
If the Warriors use Green as the 5 in their death lineup, there is no reason LeBron shouldn't be.

Shel, Sabi asked me specifically about LeBron so I answered him.

Chad deserves a little cred too.
