That's its Saban or Spurrier at this point if Les leaves?

Saban has no shot. Spurrier is the #1 choice of the boosters. I have no idea who the Skipper wants.

Skipper has about as much input on the decision as you and I.

And Del Rio. Spurrier is going to leave us at the altar regardless of what skip thinks right now.

Tubby has to be mentioned.

I think we go after him before the other two!

I just dont think that Spurrier will leave Columbia - I live here and all Spurrier has recently said is that no one wants a coach who has lost 5 in a row. It may be all "coach speak" but for him to leave would be a massive blow to the Carolina program - he has already made finacial pledges to the program so it would unlikely that he comes to BR.

What do you think will happen then kevg

I personally have heard Saban doesn't have a shot. If its not Spurrier we will try to get JDR.

I still have the feeling that our next coach, if Miles leaves, will not be one of the big names that is always tossed about.

Just get a sense that Saban and Spurrier aren't going anywhere...same with Del Rio.

And if we start dropping down the list and go to some "up and comer" over Saban we are damned fools.

As fun as it is to talk about Spurrier, Saban and Tuberville, I agree.

If Miles does leave there is a good chance it will be someone from a pool of candidates that we have not even seen. Remember all the rumors before Miles got here - Del Rio, SPurrier, Butch Davis, I even heard Jimmy Johnson.

Thing about it, if Miles is leaving he better announce it, 30 seconds after the end of the SECCG, if he has not secretly discussed his intentions with the power people. I don't want to look up in the first week of 08 and we have no caoch and all of the top candidates have signed extentions or gone elsewhere.

Yeah, you're right, the last 2 up and comers went into the crapper. We are "damn fools" for doing that.

Saban wasn't an up and comer. Miles has been mediocre.
