I'm worried how Romero will handle himself behind the dish tonight and the pressure Sac St. will put on him. It does make me feel better having Poche hold them on but still...

I almost don't see the point of flip flopping catchers at this point, Papierski is the best option.

Don't worry, they're all on SECN+, so WatchESPN will have them with no blackouts. Nicholls on Wednesday may be blacked out again, though.

While this is true, Romero has got to see the field somehow.

seems like he will be catching at least one game per series.

maybe DH for the other games?

I agree, just don't know where to fit him in right now except maybe at DH. I'd like to see Adams get some more opportunities as well, but Deichman needs the ABs too.

With so many inexperienced guys, it's tough to juggle.

Put him at DH and you gotta take out the twin

With LSU's young lineup taking the second best player off the field regularly is something I wouldn't do.

they are 11-11 in base stealing. Safe to say he will get tested.

Hey I am not disagreeing with you at all. But Romero has already shown he deserves some innings somehow.

Just not at Pap's expense...

I wouldn't be opposed to that. Everyone talks about the twins being grinders (read: will take an HBP to help the team) and that's valid. But Romero is the same way. I'm logging all of his stats from LSUE, he had a 5 game HBP streak and through 86 games (not done yet) he's had 25 overall, or about 7% of his PAs. And he's got HR power.

He does. Put him at DH.

If Pap and Romera are two of your best 5 hitters, there's no reason you shouldn't be alternating them between DH and catcher. It's that simple. Does anyone think they're not top 5 right now?

Agreed. Seems like mainieri doesn't want to take one of the twins for whatever reason.

I think it's safe to say that's what everyone on this last page has been saying. If I was putting together the lineup I sure as hell wouldn't be taking out a top 3 catcher in the SEC in a defense stressed position.

You have to make sacrifices for matchups.

Gotta have someone in the lineup to take one off the shoulder
