I have a trilobite fossil that's old. I found it in minden la when i was a kid.

Unless that's the one I lost. In that case I have one I bought at the flea market.

There's a difference between the shark's tooth you found on your uncle's farm and a 2,000 lb intact triceratops skull.

Nowadays they only weigh 800 lbs, there's less of them and they cost twice as much

I have found shark teeth and dinosaur bones.

Honestly, they are just cool. Not all that helpful overall in geology.

You couldn't have found a trilobite fossil in Minden unless it was in gravel for roads or you bought it.

Yeah. It was in the gravel of my friends driveway.

It just sounded cooler with less details.

Can you imagine how much everyday canes makes in profit just off a box combo much less anything else.

Probably just a few cents per box really. He's getting robbed when you think about it because canes is the best fast food, fried chicken, and some of the best all around food in Louisiana.

Hell, the Kappa freshmen class probably spends enough there in a week to pay for a Jurasic Park full of bones.

I knew that dude was rich, but I didn't know he was "I own a triceratops skull" rich.

Other than that old man wearing all white with a mosquito- encased cane on Jurassic park, I don't believe dinosaur bones lead to great wealth.

No lie, the drink server at Ruffino's asked the elderly couple next to us tonight what they were in town for. They said they were delivering a dinosaur skull to Todd Graves. I thought they were joking, but apparently not.

Whatever dude!

Be proud of that find. That's how I got started in paleontology/geology.

Sitting on gravel piles and finding fossils. The first ever fossil I found is pretty rare and it was straight out of a gravel pile!
