And got their hands on the enemy leader's iPhone would everyone be sucking Tim Cook's penis is he refused to help break into it?

Of course not, but if that phone turned up 1yr or 2yrs after the fact, and the FBI wanted Apple to hack it, then people would have forgotten about the event and been on Apples side.
I would like to see if terrorist went to Apples campus and started shooting up people, and the FBI found their iPhone after the fact. Would apple hack into it then?

I don't understand what Apple's deal is here? Why are they worried about protecting the rights of murdering terrorists? F Apple.

yeah, cause that's the first thought after a thermo nuclear event... get his cell phone and hack it.

I haven't really followed this story but I am surprised the government can't open the phone without Apple's cooperation.

You have to protect the constitutional freedoms of people you dislike and disagree with because it ends up saving that same wall that protects you.

Ever heard of WWII or the enigma machine?

If we get hit with nuclear weapons, the last thing on anyone's mind will be hacking into a phone.

This, but I don't understand why apple can't just hack one phone or a few for the government. It's not like they are releasing the code out to the public. I don't really understand why they are standing on the protect their customers soapbox.
