Oof. I'd probably give em the edge but HT is pretty frickin good.
You're really splitting hairs when you start throwing those names around.

Ghost is better. So is anything Tree House makes.
Cool. I still enjoy trying good beers I've never had

What's the bottle date? I really like that when fresh.

Not super fresh, but only 70-80 days. Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter still has good hop flavor after that time span. I would think as much as Centinnial is acclaimed in the craft world, it would hold up fine within 90 days of bottling.

I have had Heady twice. I really want to believe they just weren't that fresh, one definitely tasted better than the other. But for all the hype, I was let down.
To contrast, I had a 2 month old green the other day and it was still amazing.
But like you said, when you get to that level, it is splitting hairs.

It's definitely one to cross off the bucket list if you can find a way

Not to mention HT is a bit different in flavor profile to Ghost and most Treehouse. Not really as much juicy tropical fruit (doesn't use Citra), but a ton of great hoppy citrus and dankness. Similar in it that it is unfiltered, hazy, not malty at all, etc.
It is definitely worth seeking it out. Fantastic beer.

You do realize that Hop Hunter is brewed very differently, right? Hop Hunter use hop oils in the brew process. I've found that comparing it to over IPAs in terms of how it holds up over time is foolish. That process seems to really promote the longevity of the flavors. It's one of the most long-lasting IPAs out there that I've encountered.

FBD that I took a picture of
had a couple at cannonball creek earlier and a home-brew when I got home that was too cold to really taste due to it being 20° outside here

LBD-a small pour of BA Yet(greatest thing about a keezer other than cheaper beer is being able to do right size pours). Celebrating a victory with the IRS today. They knocked off a $2000 penalty for my S Corp filing. I am waiting on a letter to hear my fate on the $14k penalty they assigned to my personal return for filing two months late. I hope they figure out a way to live on the $47k I sent them last year.

I knew it was done with hop oil, but didn't realize it affects how an IPA holds up. Thanks.

In addition to the light reading I did at home yesterday (my company's 10K that's getting filed tomorrow), I did our taxes as well. Like you, celebrated a victory of sorts since the check I'll have to write to them will only be 4 figures this year. Was prepared for much worse.
Drank a Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin with dinner.
Then this Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout while doing the taxes.
