Are we going to have to win the SEC to make the tournament? Any chance we make it if we don't win the SEC?

No. Yes.

Depends on how we finish the regular season. Very little margin for error. Can probably only afford one more regular season L.

They may, just barely as a very low seed, but it won't matter. They will not do anything when they get there.

I do think the "Simmons Draw Factor" is an asset if we're on the bubble.

But this team is making it harder and harder for the committee to take that into consideration.

Unfortunately, no. They have the skill but they don't have the want that Les has. Some of these losses just come down to desire and fundamentals. Those are the losses that hurt.

Maybe the question should be will LSU make the NIT?

nope
yep

but that was a terrible loss wed night. Losing to one of the teams we may be fighting for a spot in the tourney with really sucks. If we can go 4-1 I will feel confident about making it...anything less and I will expect NIT

We split with said team so I believe the game is a wash. Are you people forgetting that right now they are in 2nd place in the league and i believe that holding there they are in. Would be nice to take care of business and go in to Rupp with the SEC championship on the line.

Yep and win it all!! Quarterman will be MVP!! Ben Simmons will announce he's staying for all four years, Shaq will be an assistant and LF will announce he's joining the team next year! Good times all around for the basketball team!

So you are saying LSU wins the next 5 and the SEC regular season championship they aren't going to get in?

Well it's a young team. 8 new bats in the lineup, but very talented top to bottom. But yes I think we shock the nation (esp Tiger nation) and make the CWS tournament.

at this point we really cannot afford to lose any more regular season games and the most we can lose in the SEC tourney is most likely one

Self inflicted wounds will likely cost this team a chance to play in the tourney

Good news is that is the most you can lose in the SEC tournament.

we're not winning 5 in a row, we just aren't that consistent. we seriously just need to worry about 1 game, Tennessee. I would approach this as 5 play in games. none more important than the other.
winning the conference would help and Kentucky has a tough road (a&m,bama, vandy,Florida.,and us). I just don't have a lot of faith in the Jekyll and Hyde nature of this team

There are at least 6 games left.

5-0 run we are in
4-1 probably in
3-2 over last 5 with a win in tourney and we probably get it.

2-3 out, unless win at least 2 in tourney then maybe

So we need to win 4 out of next 6 to have a shot.
