(which one would you see)
Both of these oldtimers are playing at the dueling Oklahoma casinos this spring.
Who puts on the better live act these days?

Never been a James Taylor fan.
I saw Paul Simon in 1999 and he put on a really good show. In my opinion, he has a deeper catalog.

Tough call, I'd go to both if possible. If I had to choose one, it would be Taylor only because I've seen Simon before. If you've never seen either one and can only go to one or the other, then I'd recommend Simon.

Saw Paul Simon at Hangout. Put me right to sleep.

I saw Paul Simon in Nola a few months ago. He was great. I had a great time. It was a very small venue, I'm not really sure if that changes how he plays. But I would say Paul Simon.

I was at that show, and I absolutely loved it. I am a big Paul Simon fan though. Were you a mile from the stage or something?
He played a few songs from Rhythm of the Saints, and it was like a dream hearing those songs whilst being on the beach, as RotS is one of my favorite albums ever. Great memory.

Paul Simon. Better songwriter. Better band. Hands down.

Wife dragged me to a James Taylor show once, and it was the most boring concert I've ever been to. Full disclosure though, I can't stand James Taylor's music.
Paul Simon was just okay when I saw him, but at least he put a little energy into the show.

Paul Simon by a mother fricking long shot. Not even a contest.

How can anyone not choose James Taylor? He is so awesome that John Kerry brought him to France to make the French feel good about the United States after Obama skipped the memorials for victims of a terrorist attack. Could Paul Simon do that?
If you're not French, you want to see them in Oklahoma, and you aren't regretting missing a memorial for terror victims, than go see Paul Simon.

Because some of us realize that Simon is a much, much better artist?

I would be absolutely thrilled to get the chance to see Paul Simon.
I wouldn't go to see James Taylor if the ticket was free.

Paul Simon, no question.
Bridge Over Troubled Water
Rhythm of the Saints
JT is nowhere near the artist Simon is. I honestly don't see how it's close.
