How can anyone not choose James Taylor?

I'd pick Taylor if the choice was which one to smash across the face with his guitar.

I would be absolutely thrilled to get the chance to see Paul Simon.

I wouldn't go to see James Taylor if the ticket was free.

I like them both, but in smallish doses...though I have fonder memories of James Taylor thanks to a job while at LSU where his greatest hits played over our sound system every week (it was a great college job).

Fun fact: My sister-in-law (SiL)'s college BFF is James Taylor's business manager/agent. SiL's kids (my niece and nephew) spent last Thanksgiving with BFF and Taylor. AND, James Taylor is a huge proponent of Cajun-style deep fried turkeys and does the turkey prep/frying himself. Niece and nephew say he was very nice, fwiw. Please also note that SiL's BFF is born/reared New England and my niece and nephew have lived in New York/London/Toronto/New England...and they are all now huge fans of fried turkey thanks to James Taylor.

Cool story, bro.

I saw Paul Simon with Garfunkle recently and he was good. Garfunkle just can't do a 2 hour show, so Paul Simon played a lot of solo stuff.

In my opinion, Graceland is one of the greatest albums ever.

So if i had to choose i would go Paul Simon.

that being said i may get to see both relatively soon.
