How are these dog breeds in regards to trainability?

I am looking at getting a puppy in the next month or two, and and leaning strongly toward these three breeds: German Shepherd, Boxer, and Weimaraner.
Big dogs, smart dogs, and intimidating bark/stature.
What I would like to know is how some of you would rank these three as far as reception to training and general obedience.
I have owned a boxer before, and experienced nothing but good from him... I'd like to know the public perception of how the other two stack up in comparison, having not owned either breed.

GS is a great dog. Weimaraner is dumb as a bag of hammers from what I'm told.

It's not a coincidence that so many various law-enforcement and/or military utilize German Sheperds, or their cousins the Belgian Terveruen/Belgian Malinois.
I've read, for decades, that these three are some of the most eminently trainable and intelligent dogs. Check out the Monks of New Skete.

For what you are wanting, I would say German Shepherd, and it's not even close.

we are getting a Vizsla in May.
they aren't as big as a German Shepherd or Boxer, but are incredibly intelligent dogs and train easily.

One of the smartest dogs I've been around is a Wamerainer fwiw

Wiems are awesome, but they have specific needs. You better be ready to commit time to one. They need a ton of exercise and suffer from separation anxiety if you leave them alone a bunch. They want to be with you at all times. Very trainable, but if they don't recognize an alpha personality, they will assume it. I had one for 13 years and she got better with age. they are goofy as hell when they're young. Provide a lot of cheap entertainment. My sister has a German Shepherd, and she is an excellent dog as well.

Shepherd by far and away the best. Once you have a herding breed, you will accept no substitute.

Okay...

The German Shepherd is very intelligent. The Weimaraners...not that intelligent. Boxers?
And the only dog in that group that's intimidating is the German Shepherd.

Obviously the German Shepherd is the best in this regard.

Boxers are lovable but mostly just hyperactive and goofy, imo. Nothing intimidating about them. More lean than powerful, which is good or bad depending on its use.
The Weimaraner was created as an all-purpose hunting dog, but lots of people breed them because they are pretty and don't keep them true to their function.
What do you want the dog for? Protection? Then the GS is the only one that fits the bill, really.
ETA: Might want to study the health problems associated with the breeds. Personally, I think you should reevaluate your choices.

All 3 are fantastic dogs from a trainability stand-point. Also, all 3 are great family dogs.
Boxers are a bit more trouble when they are younger. And they fart the most out of the 3.
Weimaraner's are a bit of "runners" -- they like to explore.
Shepherds require the most mental stimulus, else they get bored and find creative ways to entertain themselves. And they require more baths to keep them from stinking.
I'm partial to Boxers. But for "trainability" -- based on my personal experience:
1) German Shepherd.
2) Boxer
c) Weimaraner.

The GSD and boxer will be easier to train. The GSD is likely the smartest of the three but the consequences of poor training or poor socializing are greater for that breed too. If you can commit to the development of the dog and solid training you'll be fine.
I would prefer the Boxer out of all of those b/c I like the short coats, temperament and playful, silly nature of boxers in general.

Yes a good point. The GSD more likely to be high strung especially without daily mental stimulation.

German Sheppard would be the best choice out of these as far as trainability and retention goes.

My GS was easy as heck to train.
