I am kind of amazed at the double standard I see some people here have about Newton.
I do not watch that many NFL games, but I have tons of other quarterbacks complain about getting hit after a pass.
Also, I have seen them slide short to keep from getting a hit.
Newton took some hard hits on some runs tonight. To imply that he did not try for the fumble for fear of getting hurt is not very fair. He had more rushing yards than anyone else on his team.
Again, I am happy to see Peyton go out a winner, but damn some of you just hate Newton so much that nothing he does will ever win you over.
