I think CLM gets it, at least I hope so. His and our success depends on beating the gumps, plain and simple. My wish would be that the entire west beats them and Tennessee finally puts a boot in their arse too. But the main thing is that it's time for LSU to right the ship and pop that

The magic solution. After 7 or so years of dreadful passing...we're going to practice more.
Why bother posting?

What do you mean? I thought he sounded great.

Les had too many excuses, in the article, on why we lost to Bama. He needs to look in the mirror and stop with all the excuses.

This is just a OOS reporter who is not familiar with LesSpeak.
BUT, he needs to get his arse back under Saban's desk where he belongs. Trying to bait Miles was shitty, and Miles making excuses was just as shitty.

Don't like that he is blaming injuries on losing to Bama. Every team has them and especially going into November. He appears to be stuck in his ways. The gutless performances the two following weeks were the bigger issue. That said he could win it all this year even playing his conservative style. His biggest knock is that he doesn't utilize his talent. 2016 is going to be interesting.

thank you! I had not read it!

Miles: No, no, no, – you don’t turn to anybody. You turn to the back of this building and you go to coaching your butt off. I recognize that the success we’ve had for 11 years has been done in the exact same way for 11 years and sometimes a year or a period of games – an injury gets ‘ya, or weather gets ‘ya, or something will get ‘ya. Because if it’s not that, then we win. And we win a lot here. I’m not going to change that just because there’s a lot of people in the street screaming at you, ok? I don’t care.

What the duck do you want. You want him to give you a scheme breakdown? Not going to happen.

I couldn't care less how Les Miles comes across in an interview in USA or any other form of Media.
He obviously comes across well to his players and their families, and want to play for him and LSU.
I think going into this year, Miles knows what he has to accomplish with this team, and is well on its way to another SEC run the title and the playoffs.
Like it or not, what has transpired since the bowl game has been remarkable.

Les Miles on losing to Alabama:
"The dog ate my homework".
"The dog ate my homework".

After reading that article, one thing stood out. Miles said you don't tinker too much with a finely tuned engine, speaking about our offense, which is total BS. You rip that sum bitch apart and throw on some pulleys and a blower with NOS injectors

Hopefully the team will be a lot better (laughter). It’s going to be interesting to see this spring. I think (quarterback) Brandon Harris will
There was a lot of blame-shifting in the article. He referenced injuries at least 4 different times in those limited questions as well.
Came across to me he believes everyone but him is the problem, and it's either fate of the players.
If a fullback and a blocking TE anchor your season, it's time to seriously re-evaluate your game planning ability & tactics. With all of those blue chip skill position players, you should be able to go 3-4 wide with LF7 and that O line and not miss a beat.
A lot of it is lack of adjustments, although I will say the Oline got absolutely whipped in a game or two. Frustrated read, but been around long enough to decode those parables.
That being said, here's hoping he doesn't forget that just because you have a "strong engine" (with one year left) , doesn't mean you don't need the occasional tune-up

Some of you need to go back and actually watch the games from last season again.
All this "Change the offense" is really odd when the play calling wasnt bad. It was the lack of execution by our illustrious QB who some on this board simply refuse to acknowledge was fricking horrible. Go back and count the horrible passes to wide open receivers just in the 1st half of the Texas A&M game. It was just plain aweful. It is why LSU was losing to A&M 7-6 at half. It is simply not the offensive play calling when you have open receivers badly overthrown 5 times in a half. WTF do you think an OC is going to do when this happens? He is going to call plays which he feels his inaccurate QB can run.
Its cause and effect.

This interview did suck. Kind of a hatchet job. Les came off looking like a whiner, too.

That interview was quite loaded. Miles definitely has a bumbling style in the way he interviews, but that interviewer was certainly aggressive in the way he was asking questions.

Well, how about recruit a QB that can complete basic passes? We almost fricked that up again if we would have gotten Franks.

quote:Once again, for the sidewalk fans, Miles is very measured in what he tells the media in this type exchange. It always comes out this way but makes perfect sense once you digest it. Also, you will notice that he never gets baited into giving bulletin board material by the way his changes his syntax.
Jesus, if his brain works the way he talks.
When he's not on guard and speaking to a person/group, he sounds nothing like that.
