Wouldn't mess w/ the level of chemistry they have - even for Durant. What they have going on right now is hard to put a price tag on. And w/o knowing who'd they'd give to give up which you imagine would be Green/Thompson/Barnes or some combo thereof, i would say no. Let em go to the Lakers with Westbrook and try to rebuild that sht show.

If I'm the Warriors, I keep everything as is.

Klay Thompson becomes the odd man out, Iggy gone, Bogut Gone, it can work. Barnes and Speights might be out too in favor of cheaper vets
Curry
Livingston
Durant
Green
Ezeli
Curry currently makes 15ish, hes gonna get 25-27.
Getting rid of Klay gets that extra 10 to Curry, leaves 6 for Durant, who will get about 26-28 I guess. Iggy's 11 makes that 17. Bogut's 11 makes that 28.
turn Barnes' salary into 2 bench replacements / rookies and there you have a team
Over simplified but it can be done based on what they have. Plus doing a sign and trade for Thompson and bogut for draft picks / cash keeps you relevant for years to come.

Can David Stern come back from the grave and veto this?

They're the only real threat to get KD out of OKC at this point with the Rockets having fallen apart.
If he picks GS the Thunder should ask for Klay and if they balk maybe settle for Barnes, Iggy, and others.
I'd rather them be forced to gut themselves than completely help them out.
Also, in order to make it work, they'd have to dump Iggy, dump or stretch Bogut and Thompson, renounce rights to Barnes, Mo, Barbosa, Rush, Mcadoo, Clark, O'Neal, and Kuzmic.
So they'd have 4 dudes and guys that'd come sign for minimum or a mid-level deal.
They could keep ezeli too.
Color me as skeptical that they would be willing to completely overhaul key pieces on a team that looks unstoppable.

The only way I'd want Durant if I was the Warriors would be at a huge discount. Even then I'd be nervous. I can't believe Curry is at all down with this idea.

I don't even think this would be a good idea.
I love Durant and all, but a big reason why the Warriors are great is because of ball movement. Durant seems like he might be a ball stopper and certainly thrives in iso-ball. Not saying he couldn't adapt but I don't know. Why fix what isn't broken when you're destroying teams?
