6000 square ft house being powered day and night by 12 panels and 8 batteries. The future is now.

So what do you plug stuff into there is no electric?

Location? That is one of the biggest factor in having solar panels.

Wonder how Germany does it
Guess they do better in the summer and rely on other forms in the winter

No A/C and gas heat, if you are only powering the odd small appliance and led lighting it is not difficult.
Throw 2 5ton central units in the mix and you will get about 30 min. of power from the batteries.
The time is still awhile away that this is a viable solution in the south.

This house has four 1.5 ton units. Runs all night.

And keeps going and going and going and going.

On that battery bank? There's no way in hell.

There are many items that you can add during construction that pay off in the long run, but the prohibitive upfront cost is the problem. This house is no different. It should go without saying that a 6000 sq ft box house isn't practical for the mainstream.
ETA: All that money spent on a 6000 sq ft house with a full solar array and they chose to cut corners on the actual housing for the batteries. shite looks like I built it.

Way. Unit puts out 14kw of power.

Palm trees = little to no heating required. I am not impressed.

That looks like an outdoor shopping center turned into a house.

And how long will those batteries last before that have to be replaced?
