According to my 1996 Beckett it is worth $133.00. Which means it is now worth probably $1.25. May go up to $3.00 with his HOF induction though!

1. Gaming set-up, have a PS4, Xbox One in front of a 65 and 42 in television. The rig also includes a $300 headset and a $150 amp.

2. Truck

3. Apt......got a much nicer place after a recent promotion and definitely didn't have to.

Define practical value. All I have is a standard PS4 and I play one game pretty much, but it's how I spend 30 minutes decompressing in the evenings a lot of times and I use it multiple times a week.

So in that sense, I get plenty of return out of it. Contrast that with shite I have that doesn't get used, or gets replaced frequently for no good reason (golf clubs, clothing, other gadgets, etc.)

Engagement ring for sure. I bought it months ago, and I'm still bitter about it. It makes no sense to me.

True I guess. I like to think to myself that by gaming as much as I do in my spare time that I'm actually saving money because I'm not spending money elsewhere.

I guess the one thing I could have done differently is bought a $50 headset and no amp, if I was really trying to be practical.

I have no designer bags. I presume your use of the word YOUR is not about what YOU (or the readers) own, but concepts of frivolous purchases.

I see Ford F-XXX pickups in my neighborhood and other even bigger engine trucks, Dodge Ram style. Those seem to be vanity items. Also probably related to the hope of living through an accident. They run around with no loads. Noisy as frick. Mufflers like teenagers hot rods in the days of my youth. There is a hill by my house. They pull up that hill, getting 15 miles to the gallon and waking up the town.
I see ONE truck in the neighborhood that actually carries a payload.
A guy does wood cutting and sells firewood and uses his RAM to deliver. A legit use of a big truck.

I bet you jerk off to my f-150 w/ it's 6.2 L V8 engine before you go to sleep every night.

Sorry I don't want to throw a deer after I harvest into the back of a Chevy freaking cobalt.

In the truest since, I agree. They don't last but a day or two. In the right context they are a waste. At funerals for example. But they can get you out of the dog house. And on the right occasion they communicate the right message. They are symbolic in value.

Probably my ultra geeky collection of stuff in my man room. My space is more like a museum in which nothing gets played with. Top three in value, in order.

1. 1/350 scale USS Nimitz aircraft carrier.
2. 1977 Tamiya Martini Porsche 935 Turbo R/C car.
3. 2007 1/6 Hot Toys F-4 Phantom pilot figure, one of 1000 made. 450% value increase in the last 8 years.
