That really makes no sense though. First of all, why put up a high school three point line? The walls and stairs will frick up any kind of pick up scenario. I'm sure it was just there already or something but if you are gonna spend that much money, why not get it all right?

Is that for the whole family? Seems like they are never apart.

He is doing it way wrong IMHO. I would have a badass condo in New York, Chicago, Miami etc etc instead of a suburban mansion. What fun is that at 22?

Also, Manziel is in freaking Cleveland. Please tell me you are grouping Cleveland in with New York and Chicago

Why not have both? And some people don't like living in big cities

Preston Hollow is really close to the center of a giant city. You can easily go out in Uptown Dallas at night from there.

Pretty sure he just locked down a massive coca cola contract.

Texas big cities suck huge arse compared to New York, Chicago, San fran etc etc when speaking of the city experience. Dont get me wrong, the suburb part of the cities are great, but the actual "city" part of Houston and Dallas blows

He's from Dallas. I imagine all his friends from growing up and from UT have moved back there. If I were him I would do the exact same thing- buy/build a badass house in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the US where you can still hang out with your childhood friends and family whenever you want.
And again Preston Hollow is like 5 miles from Uptown Dallas. It's not like he's living in Plano or Southlake or something

Lol no. You have no idea what you're talking about. You must not get out much.
Also, it's different strokes for different folks. Does he strike you as the flashy big city type? No.

Miami, maybe, but there's a reason you don't see too many elite pro golfers living north of the M-D line. Luke Donald and Jason Day are the exceptions. He needs to be in a place with quick, easy access to a top notch outdoor facility pretty much year round.
For Spieth, though, he's rich enough that he could really have both.
I currently live in Chicago and know NYC well enough to know that playing golf when you live in either is an absolute nightmare. The closest courses of any real caliber (and for a guy like Spieth, a top notch practice facility) are at least an hour drive.

yeah golfers need to live where golf is plentiful and abundant. that's not chicago or new york
how many cities do you have to go through before Dallas becomes a great option for being a young, rich person? maybe 7-8
scratch NYC and Chicago off the list and that goes to 5-6
