I see him as an automatic Nola on Friday nights.

i see him holding the opponent to 1-3 runs and still having 4 or 5 one run losses.

I see a regional host and potential losing in the supers. Good, but not as good as last year

Like all LSU sports here on the Rant, the baseball team drastically under performs to unrealistic expectations and the coach is beyond horrible. IF only we had a real coach, we'd win the ship every year, without fail. But we don't so the season is basically over before it starts. Don't get excited at the potential or possibilities, just resign yourself to another season of disappointment. We're the Rant, it's what we do.

LSU has the arms to make it to Omaha. If they can play good defense and opportunistic offense they just might. However, if I had to guess I'd say this may not be the year to plan a Nebraska get away.

Too many unknowns in February to make predictions about this team.

With our pitching we could do well in Omaha. But it will be tough for is to get there may have to win a super regional on the road.

What am I supposed to be disputing?

Whatever it is, I dispute and predict bad things as required per my contract with Chicken.

The young guys we have were highly recruited for a reason. They are just unproven and are going to have to grow up quick. I think they are capable though. And of course I'm expecting Fraley to have a great year.
Good post.

Our pitching staff will give us a chance in every game though, and you never know what can happen in June. Just look at Virginia last year.
Agreed.

I think we might need to get over the offense concerns. Seems like defensive teams with minimal offense have been the success stories in Omaha of late.
