I thought last year was it for a couple of years given the talent reload needed. I don't follow baseball recruiting. How did reload go, and how soon before Omaha happens again for the Tigers?

Do not know if we can score enough runs this year. Pitching will be the strength of course. Looking forward to seeing how these young Tigers come along. Ell will come along any moment now and dispute this and give his expert know it all prediction.

May get there, but 0-2 Manieri-style if we do

Eh, high ranking to start because of the name on the jersey. I'm not expecting an Omaha trip this year.
But if we do make it, can we get a win in a non-losers bracket game? It would be the first time since 2009.

If they do, Coach Paul will guarantee at best a 3 games stay aka 1-2 in Omaha and another early goodbye cuz he's a shite coach.

Totally agree. I think the staff keeps us in every game. May need to play a lot of small ball this year

Not expecting it this year because of all the new position players. Our pitching staff will give us a chance in every game though, and you never know what can happen in June. Just look at Virginia last year.

Pitching rotation top to bottom should be as good as ever. Offense is going to need some young bats to step up. Got a lot of young unproven talent that they will be relying on. I definitely think Omaha is possible with how good pitching should be. As we've seen in the new era of college baseball it takes great pitching with offense getting hot at the right time to make a run.

I'm quietly optimistic but haven't booked my room across from TD Ameritrade. The team in the field is very young but appear to be real talented so defense should be good. The pitching should keep us in most games so the only variable will be how our kids swing the bats and if we can adapt play to their strengths. I expect a rougher start than usual with improvement as the season progresses. Get hot at the end and it may be another trip to Barrett's.

Might just have to start checking with my Omaha connections

LSU lead the SEC in batting average last season and was the only SEC team which batted over .300.

We also were tied for the highest slugging % in the SEC and had the second highest runs scored per game at 6.8 runs per game trailing only Florida with 6.9 runs per game.

I would very much welcome "same old" this coming season....

I think we'll surprise some folks at the plare. Cannizaro is a great hitting coach. The new guys we have aren't slouches just haven't played here yet. Oh yeah and Alan Dunn

I agree with you. The young guys we have were highly recruited for a reason. They are just unproven and are going to have to grow up quick. I think they are capable though. And of course I'm expecting Fraley to have a great year.

Gonna need some young position players to step up. I think the pitching can be good enough, but will the hitting be strong enough this year? Looking forward to seeing some of this young guys this year. Lange gonna go HAM. I see him as an automatic Nola on Friday nights.

If we get average hitting, above average defense and our pitchers live up to the hype we can. We won't need to score 7-8 runs a game I'm sure our team era will be bellow 3.00
