Pretty cool. I've been crawling around and climbing all over a rocket launch stand for the last couple of days, and will be for the next ten or so. I'd call them a competitor to SpaceX, but I'm not sure it's working like that these days.

That successful landing is absolutely amazing. The entire flight is a huge advancement in space travel.

They developed a way to reuse the first stage of the launch vehicle, which contains most of the rocket engines, by landing it upright. They also 3D print the engines, both of which are firsts.

Thanks for the response. I assume it'll make space travel much cheaper. 3D printing is going to drastically change the world

The feet deploying right before touchdown is pretty sci-fi, or I guess sci-fact. Their mission control looks like a bunch of interns at Google.
