re: Would the Saints still be your team if they relocated?

I don't go to the games so travel distance isn't a factor I'm really talking about.
I guess if you could say there was one good thing to come from Katrina, it's that I'm pretty sure the NFL is too scared to even think about moving the team.

No, I'm not into incest so I would not qualify.

It's hard to watch an NFL game outside of the Saints these days.
What is with this sentiment on here? What's so hard about watching the NFL?

I just know that I like the NFL and I love the Saints. Even though they wouldn't be in New Orleans, I would still love them.
I think if they moved AND changed identity, that would make me dissociate from the Saints franchise and I'd probably just watch the Packers games because of my lady.

It would most likely depend on the circumstances of them moving and the events surrounding it, but yes...I live and die with this team no matter that city they call home. Better Question is if fans knew they had to move and there was no option of staying in New Orleans, where would you want them to go? You have to think about the market and how successful the team would be in that market? I think I would want them in either Oklahoma City, San Antonio, or Orlando.

It's the popular soap box to jump from now. Too many penalties and stupid rules, unwatchable.
BS. It's still entertaining and people are still going to eat the NFL up with a spoon.

Nope and I am a die hard but if they ever left nola, they would no longer be the saints to me. So you support the Utah Jazz?

Kind of before our time, and I'm certain the Jazz weren't as important to the city as the Saints are, so hardly a good comparison.

No. Probably never watch another NFL game.

No. Whole point of being a fan is the city they represent.

I absolutely would NOT be a fan of the Saints if they turned their back to our city and the owner took our city's team and got in bed with another city. hell to the no. I would probably be a casual NFL fan, hard to not watch football. Probably never have the same passionate rooting interest anymore. Would maybe follow beloved players in the league and root for their team's success here and there. frick the Saints if they leave. frick the Pelicans WHEN they leave. iswidt

One aspect of being a fan. I can't stand New Orleans but will always love the Saints. I started cheering for the Magic because Shaq went there and remained a fan up until Howard was traded and I quit caring about the NBA.
There was some idiot on the MSB who was claiming you couldn't be a fan of a team if you weren't from or still lived in that city.

I would be devastated and probably not cheer for any NFL team.
Saints leaving would be horrible for the city as a whole.

Digging your preemptive rage on a <0% hypothetical.

Wasn't making a comparison just showing that once a team leaves its "hometown", it loses most of its identity especially in a city like no.

its not difficult for me to know how i would feel about the situation. An out of towner may be different but a local here, not hard at all.
