LSU should play Southern in football

We play non FBS schools all the time and UGA even played them this past season.
It would be a great event for Baton Rouge and a LOT more interesting and memorable than our usual rent a win games

I would prefer to not play any FCS opponents.
If we have to play a FCS team, a local team should be cheaper since they would not have much in the way of travel expenses.

Southern played Georgia and one of their players got paralyzed for life and almost died. LSU should NOT play Southern in football.

I don't think it would be interesting or memorable at all...the reason they quit playing Tulane was that the series got so uncompetitive that the stadium was largely empty....Southern would be even worse than that was...

We should never schedule FCS teams. There are plenty of crummy FBS schools.

I made a thread a couple years ago on this.
It's a Lose Lose Lose for LSU and BR.
We need teams that will spend money in BR. And the talent gap is absurd. And plus there's an element that LSU doesn't need on campus, unless you want some Bayou Classic nonsense.

Perhaps it would be ok for some of these PC assholes, but seriously, it wouldn't be worth the time. A program such as LSU should never stoop to playing something out of the SWAC. It's all I can do to tolerate them planning in state schools for rent a wins, or rent a wins period. There would be nothing gained in playing Southern. Stadium would be mostly empty, and parking as well as concession would be at an all time low.
