Not to go Poli Board but I can't forgive Smokey for trying to ban food trucks by passing an ordinance when he is the owner of George's.

At least be a smart scuzzy politician and get one of your buddies to propose the Ordinance. Not Smokey, he just tossed it out there with a IDGAF attitude even though the conflict was outrageous.

I can see his point of view. It's kind of undercutting someone's business to pull right in front of it and sell a very similar product.

His only redeeming quality is he's an unapologetic arse whose motives are clear as day.

Yep. Also, he is one of the primary landowners responsible for the fact that I-10 goes down to one lane coming off the bridge. He didn't want to have to move Georges to allow them to add the extra lane. Since, he had the clout to stop that from happening, he basically made sure the project gets killed every time it comes up to avoid moving his shitty bar.

His proposed ordinance would NOT have banned food trucks.

It would only have required the food truck operator get a property owner's written permission prior to parking the truck on the owner's property, which, IMO, was a reasonable requirement.

The ordinance was a result of disputes between property owners in downtown Baton Rouge and the food truck operators who would just park anywhere without asking for permission to park on an owner's property.

Smokey's opponent (John Delgado) in the councilman election made up the lie about the ordinance "banning all food trucks."

Why don't you pay attention to a bigger cluster frick and his bullshite Save BR Water campaign. Wants to tax the ever loving shite out of big water users along the industrial corridor up 61 and 19 in EBR parish for a THEORY of salt-water intrusion on the aquifer.

He's got that fricking sign up in front of Georges. frick him for that.

And plus, I'm a fan and friend of Delgado! Geaux Delgado!

Incidentally, I opposed St. George. Bring on the down votes.

I was in favor of St George but still voting for Delgado.
