How do you feel about the CFP semis being on New Years Eve?

I think that it's a mistake. I'm a big college football fan and can't foresee myself actively watching both games. There will just be too many things going on. At worst, I think that ratings will be really bad. At best, I think that the games will be background noise at a lot of bars and get togethers. Move them to 12/30.

Hate it. As a college football fan, I have an interest in watching the playoff games. As someone whos team isn't in the playoff games, I'd rather do something else with my NYE.

I'd like it to be New Years Day

I hate NYE. I hope I can find a relatively quite bar to watch the games in.

I like it since I have no social life anyway...

ESPN tried very hard to move the games to NYD, but was denied by the CFP overseers

advertisers are hoping it will create a game watching party in areas outside Bama, Oklahoma, the mountains of South Carolina, and Michigan.
TV sets # considered dedicated to Clemson is probably a really low number.
few people in Oklahoma.
a few more in Bama and SEC fans
only Michigan is populous and most of them are Michigan fans.
they did not know the teams, but they knew they were hoping for a game watching party.

I know that the Sugar and Rose are screwing everything up and there will be years that they have to do it this way, but the 2nd is available this year on Saturday with no NFL and perfect for these games. However, the Playoff wouldn't budge when ESPN wanted to move them to the 2nd.

I'm hoping the ratings suck so they move them to new years day. But the reason they aren't on New Years day is because of the Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl's "tradition" of playing on New Years day... you know, unless New Years day is a Sunday, in which case they cede the day to the NFL.

I think it will be very successful as a failure.

If these games don't keep your attention, I don't know what to tell you

It's stupid. I won't be watching either game.

Don't care. NYE is a nothing holiday to me.

I'll check the scores a few times, but I'm not changing plans for these games.
