Zero. Tamales taste like a homeless woman's balloon knot.

Zero. You may as well go ahead and plug in 31 December for 2 January.

It's not so much Mexican as it is Spanish. I have family that is of Spanish decent from Natchitoches, LA. We have meat pies and tamales every Christmas. It is tradition. The tamales are the Mississippi delta type.

Criollo, at best, and your ancestors if Spanish, were Galician (something doubtful, given you´re in Louisiana).

Tamales, or anything similar, are NOT Spanish.

In my travel, Indians eat a hell of a lot more tamales than Mexicans.

What's the deal with Toledo Bend/Zwolle area and Tamales? Is it a special type of tamale?
