How bad is Battlefront?

It's OK. Graphics and scenery is top notch, but it gets boring pretty quick. I regret buying it, but I'm a sucker for Star Wars games.

BF4 is great. Wayyyyyy better than Battlefront. Had a plethora of issues in the 1sr yr, but its pretty flawless now.

It's fun, until it's not fun anymore. Just lacks some depth to have the staying power that BF4 has. I don't regret buying it, but I won't buy the next half of the game (season pass). Player base is highest on PS4, followed by XB1, and PC trailing waaay behind.
Though a lot of people hated it right out of the gate. It's a polarizing game for sure. The people who hate it seem to really really hate it.

BF4 is great, they didn't just let it die, tons of big patches that really perfected the game or damn near.
They followed that up with multiple free DLC's, and the community is as strong as ever. BF4 would be Top 10 on Steam for peak players daily.

I love the simplicity of Battlefront as well as the atmosphere, but it has balance issues. I don't usually play this genre, but I've played it more than I've played any other multiplayer FPS and will probably buy the DLC. It really helps being a Star Wars fan.
The PC community is likely less because it's an Origin exclusive and because they cried so much over "no server browser." It is the version I purchased though as aiming on a gamepad is terrible, and 1080p 60 FPS is better than 900p 30 FPS.

It has a couple of small issues that need to be tweaker. More match-balancing, the ability to see the rank of other players, being able to talk to players would be great too. Oh and they need to fix Han's blaster because that shite is way overpowered. Look if I turn the corner with any gun and I lay a blast in a guy's chest right as he lays one into me with Han's blaster, I'm dead, I get it, I'm fine with it. What I'm not cool with is me using either the EE11 or EE3 and shooting one of the Han Blaster people from at least 30-40 yards away and they turn and plug me with one damn shot. That gun is not a damn sniper rifle. It's pretty much a shotgun in pistol form that can shoot more than 10-15 feet but shouldn't be able to wipe me out 100 or so feet away. And I've had this happen at least half a dozen times... in the last week.

It's ironic, I just finished watching the honest game trailer of battlefront and I came over here to see if y'all thought the game was as bad as they were saying it was, and the FIRST thread I see is this one.

I was so excited for this game. Then I rented it and returned it the second day. It had so much potential but wasted it to be a multiplayer game without the fun and with too few maps.

Im glad i read these threads and reviews, I was asking my wife for it for christmas but I'll just get the uncharted HD collection to prepare for UC 4 instead.

All this. They really need more maps. Lately I've played a lot of consecutive matches on the same maps and it gets really boring.

The best way I heard it summed up is like this.
"You get like 2 more things from what the beta had, for $60"
In all seriousness, the beta was fun so I bought the game. I realized that the beta maps and content made up 75% of the full game and traded it in a few weeks later.
